''Linde Perrey was violently killed. When police found the 72-year-old's body in her Kiel apartment, she had massive injuries. That was more than seven years ago now. Now there is a new lead: the police had a ghost image of a suspected important witness created.
The Cold Case Unit (CCU), which is responsible for unsolved cases, has identified a woman who reported a man she said she had seen in the Perrey area at the time of the murder in 2016. The witness claims to have seen him with the 72-year-old in her apartment and at the Dehnckestraße bus stop in the Schreventeich district. The man is now being searched for.
The man being sought was said to have been around 60 years old and strong. The man also had short gray hair and dark eyes. A police spokeswoman emphasizes: “The unknown person is expressly not wanted as a suspect, but as a witness.”
