The house right next door looks to be so close that I wonder if the neighbors noticed any women arriving with him late at night and early morning hours during times when his wife was out of town.
That basement room kept locked is all very Bluebeard, isn't it? If Bluebeard kept an arsenal in there with his victims.

It's the kind of thing fiction has conditioned us to expect a serial killer to have, though they rarely do.

this has to be difficult, all these locations and having to work thru without knowing exactly what they are looking for..like they have to develop some kind of baseline for his behavior and go from there..

like his habit of stashing things ..where and how...what kind of places does he like to hide things?
what kind of weapons does he use in his murders?
when did he stay there? what is missing? who is missing?

wonder if they will find more burner phones and other clues.. so creepy you guys! mOO

Melissa had phone w her. RH called Melissa’s sister w taunting phone calls from her phone. Megan left hers in hotel and from what we know Amber left her at house because there was another girl there placing escort ads on Craigslist and that was the cell # in ad. Maureen called her sister to tell her she had enough money for train and was coming back to Connecticut and was never heard from again
this isn’t true about Gilgo4 phones - Megan and Amber did not have phones. Melissa and Maureen did
Many thanks for the gift.

Two things jumped out at me:

"Cashiers at the supermarket knew them as a quiet, cheerless family that shopped several times a week."

and

"Ms. Ellerup looked depressed, Ms. Salmeri said, and the family often paid with food stamps, unusual at this store."

Food stamps???
It’s not uncommon for people to “buy” someone’s EBT food stamp card. Example: Person A gets $500 a month to be used only on food. They need cash so they sell the card to Person for .50 on the dollar. Person B just got $500 worth of groceries for $250. Cashiers do not check the name on card you swipe it just like a debit card

Good work! Interesting info and dates to consider.

Also, for any locals... is there something significant located at the 59th St bridge... other than the bridge, of course? I was reading back through Michael Pak's depo with John Ray and IIRC Shannan Gilbert and MP met-up (at some point) at the 59th St bridge.

ETA: Page 33 is the first mention of the 59th St bridge, maybe it's a common location to meet someone??

59th st bridge is one of the routes you’d take to get out of Manhattan into Queens/ Long Island

Re the food stamps, in NYS if any child resident in the house is disabled and an adult, he would automatically receive food stamps and certain other benefits. Even if the parents are wealthy this would still happen as it is based on the adult child's income. That said, it is very difficult to game the disability system here and it helps many people very much in need.

This is also true - I know that it varies state to state.

Thanks for the info. I read that the title of 'food stamps' was changed to SNAP in 2008. I checked because I still refer to them as food stamps even though I know it's now a credit card design.

If a person is on permanent disability they can still hold a job, but their income from the job would be limited. Otherwise Social Security will start recalculating what they pay a person and adjust it as needed.
Yes correct

They don’t check the name but that seems way too risky to take that chance. Jmo

Yes I wonder if he fits the The McDonald Triad theory: animal torture/fire setting/bed wetting

I live in South Carolina and although it has nothing to do with his case. I think this case is along the lines of what You are suggesting Lee Roy Martin - Wikipedia
Horrifying to learn of these murders. What I was implying is that Rex Heuermann purchased 100’s of acres in SC, so he can have his own private dumping grounds and perhaps already used this property for this purpose.

If you go on judyrecords and search RH, a speeding tic for the state of VA shows up from 3/14/12…would that have possibly been on a trip to SC? Any missing SW from around that time period? I couldn’t find the city, county, municipality for the ticket, but maybe someone else can.

Wow! Good sleuthing!

Reminisent of jeffery Epstein's art collect a tad.
Is the painting a clue to maybe something bigger?
it reminded me of epstein’s weird art as well, but with all due respect the idea of a grand conspiracy featuring rex & epstein is ridiculous lmao. the only things they seem to have in common is that they’re psychopathic pedos with a bizarre collection of art.

They took a CAT? Poor thing...I wonder who's been feeding it for the past four days?

I’m guessing these girls had two phones - one for personal and ones for John’s
yes, that is protocol for most sex workers (also drug dealers) as it completely separates their job from their private life
