This is very informative to me, mainly because I'm overseas

I'm inclined to see the logic in almost all of what was said

I just don't think RH is responsible for all....others involved, either with him or as well as him

Also think shockwaves are only rippling right now

When the masses of collected evidence is processed, who knows the depth this will go ??

My bet is it'll be a tsunami

Local ABC news reporter says she has been covering crime scenes, homicide scenes for nearly 20 years, never seen investigators stay this long processing.

reporter actually says, "I believe they're taking this house down to the studs"

Good. After how this case was handled in the beginning, this new task force is going to leave no stone unturned. They will scour every square inch of that house, along with the storage units and the property in SC, I’m sure. So far, I’m super grateful for them and the work they have done. How they were able to keep it so under wraps for almost a year and half is impressive.

I agree with you. I have wondered how he could be responsible for Shannon Gilbert when the house or area she called 911 from wasn’t his house.

I encourage everyone to watch the interviews with former escort Nikki (the hair stylist).

She said RH mentioned human hunting party’s. She also mentioned she doesn’t think he did this alone (watch the Fox, NewsNation w/ Cuomo & TikTok Reposted on YouTube by NY Post.

I wonder if she has linked up with John Ray. I know he’s been an advocate for the victims and their families but he’s also been a showman and a wild theorist, IMOO

In the winter of 2010, shortly after police discovered the remains of his roommate and three other women buried on a remote stretch of Long Island shoreline, Dave Schaller provided detectives with a description of the person he believed to be the killer.

More crucially, Schaller told them about his truck.

The man they were looking for was a towering, Frankenstein-like figure with an “empty gaze” who drove a first-generation Chevrolet Avalanche, Schaller recalled telling investigators. The man’s size stuck out, as did his unusual pick-up truck, which he’d used to flee the house Schaller shared with Amber Costello.

On that night, Schaller said he came home to find the stranger threatening Costello, an occasional sex worker, who had locked herself in the bathroom. The two men came to blows, with the hulking intruder eventually leaving in the truck.

Prosecutors say Costello was last seen alive on Sept. 2, 2010, as she left her home to meet that same client. A witness saw a dark-colored truck drive by the house again shortly after she left.

“When they told me she was dead, he was the first person who jumped in my head,” Schaller told The Associated Press. “I’ve been picturing his face for 13 years.”

RH was only 20 years old in 1984, possibly still in school.

I like him for this..this is right up his alley and 20 years old...? all the better. mOO

Interesting interview with FBI profiler Jim Clemente on CNN right now. He has a lot to say about Rex H. Says LE arrested him in Manhattan because they needed to get him away from his guns at home. He probably would have been the type to "shoot it out" with LE if they tried to arrest him at home. Also said he treated his family terribly and probably only kept them as a cover for his activities. Their lives were probably very restricted by him.

Can't say for sure, but it seems worthwhile to look into it. Serial killers change their methods over time, "learning" as they go.

I do think his family served as cover. And, to be frank, he probably wanted someone to keep house, cook, shop, etc. I think his wife served a purpose. With her son, I think she made the perfect candidate for someone who would remain and put up with him, for the sake of having the son provided for. It's an arrangement that could work and be pleasant for everyone, but I don't think a pleasant relationship was his objective.

Interesting, because in the early days, I pretty clearly recall DS saying that the night Amber disappeared she walked away from the house and he never saw who picked her up.

Anyone else recall that ?

Agree 100%, also her son has special needs and required almost all of her attention, instead of it being focused on RH

He (the roommate) didn’t see the truck she got into the night she vanished but another witness did. I think the roommate saw it the night before when they pulled their ruse on him but I guess the original investigators on the case didn’t take it into account or didn’t care enough to investigate further.

Yes, Clemente felt very badly about how he treated his family, especially with reports of them using food stamps. He implied Rex H may have withheld money from them, using it for his own purposes. He talked of R's relationship in a way that sounded like he didn't think R had any emotional attachment to them at all. No caring, nothing. If so, that's a little different from other SK's who lived "alternate" lives with families.

He also said there's something noteworthy about the way Rex was kind and helpful to some people, yet treated others badly. It's unknown for now, but he had some reasons of his own for how he dealt with people.

As for Rex popping out of the trees at the park in dirty clothing and harassing a young woman...I want to know where he came from and why he was filthy..what was he doing back there? is it a large area? If I am the detectives on this case I really want to know all his movements that day. Just saying..I find it very sus. mOO

I see. Thanks for clarifying. The article was kind of confusing in it's wording.

This does bring up another question, though. DS tells the story that he came home and this guy was getting rough with Amber and that's why they got into a physical altercation. Perhaps Dave just didn't want to come clean about " the ruse ", I dunno. He never mention anything at all about the night BEFORE Amber went missing back in the early days. Not in public, anyway. But if this guy were such a threat to Amber the previous night, as DS states, then why would she agree to book a date with him the very next night. AND agree to leave her cell phone behind ? Alternately, if she and Dave had set the guy up the night before, why would she agree to book a date with him the very next night ? Is it possible that she didn't know the guy from " the ruse" was the same guy she was booking a date with until she saw him around the corner in his car ? Did he pull a gun on her and force her into the car ?

Just some random questions, I suppose.

IMO - I think he contacted her from a different number and pretended to be someone else (even though he told her the night before she owed him and gets credit for next time) and offered a large sum of cash. I don’t think she would have willingly left alone with him after what transpired the day before.

Excellent question and don’t forget ~ he was married once before, which I believe that marriage didn’t produce any children but I’m super curious what his first marriage was like and why it ended in divorce.

The problem with that idea, is she got in the car with him. She would have recognised him.

This is why I question WHEN the information was actually given to authorities. AC and her roomies were not living the lifestyle to indicate they would have readily admitted to LE their own activities. Not on the first interview. Maybe not even on the 12th. Plus, IIRC, they did not even report her missing. Is that right? When did the roomies actually confess the ruse? When did they actually give the info to LE?
