There may be a link between Jessica Taylor (LI) Jodie Brewer and Misty Marie Saens (LV). All three were dismembered and deposited at different sites, their torsos were covered in plastic too. Two of them went missing in 2003 (Mar + July), one in 2005 (May)

“I have this deep-seated conviction that he was likely lurking in the vicinity as the horrific discovery unfolded,” Dr. Bonn revealed.

“The magnetism of the event would have been too irresistible for him. Yet, there must have been an element of shock coursingthrough him, the realization that his secret graveyard had been discovered.”
It's like arsonists are quite often in the crowd watching a building burn.

--IMVHO(and an unscientific hunch/observation), the way the bodies were laid out follows the brains subconscious natural selection(but might just be PURE coincidence). Meaning: Let's say you are sitting at an empty coffee table--If i hand you a cup or pencil(or whatever), and have you place it directly in front of you onto the table(then you do it), then hand you another of the same item and ask you to place it on the table, you will MOST likely place it to the side of your dominant hand(the one you would perform MOST of your primary single-handed activities with especially your writing hand(ambidextrous throws a wrench in it, or weird people like me because i write lefty but almost everything else is right handed, so a form of ambi). Giving you a third, would MOST likely cause your brain to make you place it to the opposite side of the first item that you placed the second item to "balance" out the three items(one the right, and one to the left) of the first item. And then the fourth item would go back to the side of the first item that you placed the second item, right next to it.. 4,2,1,3 for a left-hander(3,1,2,4 righty)... I say MOST on these scenarios because that's the most occurring outcome, but not ALWAYS the way it will go down. A few years back when the layout of the bodies was revealed. i tried this test with several of my friends, work colleagues, and teammates, and asked them not to think just react when doing it. This eliminates the person trying to come up with a variation they normally wouldn't do just because they might think it's a "trick" question, or that there is a true "right" or "wrong" answer i was looking to get(normal reaction for people to think they are being tricked/fooled/setup)..This resulted in every left but one going 4,2,1,3(the one differing did it as 4,3,2,1)...A few of the righties had varying outcomes, and the ambis primary went the right handed layout outcome...Purely unscientific but interesting nonetheless

Secretly, deliciously thrilled that everyone is seeing his "work" and secretly, deliciously thrilled with the reactions of everyone. Somewhat terrified that NOW he'll be outed, but when he wasn't - very, very pleased with himself. Yep, I feel sure RH was there gawking with other Long Islanders as the bodies were discovered. I've been wondering if a lot of photos don't remain from those days to scan for him in the crowd.

I've been wondering the same thing.
And I wonder if he was not only there, but maybe spoke to people in the crowd.

And would he dare to say a word or two to the media there.

Maybe there is no uniform style? Israel Keyes said, you go with whatever comes your way or so, meaning, one can have the preferred style, but whenever the urge comes and the opportunity is there, he merely acts on it. So he ended up with many kill kits buried around the country, in case the urge would come, and they still don’t know how many victims he had.

Since you mentioned a check and orders, I remember my own shopping style. I have nothing else to compare to as I am very placid, but shopping is something else. So shopping - I don’t have the time to try the clothes on, better to overshop, then try at home and return half back. It is between an urge to buy and a lot of things around, and if I start choosing, I shall come home empty-handed.

But perhaps there are different shoppers? They shop only when they need something. Never overshop. Probably spend a lot of time researching. Finally when they buy they get exactly what they need.

Perhaps some killers are like this? Maybe they don’t leave kill kits all over like Keyes did, in case the urge is there. Perhaps they are not urge killers, and kill exactly the type they want to kill? Maybe they are more selective and do a lot of homework, including calling different sex workers, and knowing many, and when the type comes, they make their move?

RH looks like a hoarder, but maybe in killing, he was more selective? Then he might end up with fewer victims.

Just a thought.

While many killers have been frightening... Israel Keyes is one of those at the top of my list. The world is better that he's no longer alive but I worry about others like him. jmo

I just have an idea: Do you think, RH might have called the (burlap seller) Bisset, whom he suggested being possibly the LI-killer? It seems, RH loved to get people into trouble with his calls. So his calls may have included some suspects even.

  • Architect Rex A. Heuermann helped oversee projects costing roughly $68.1 million in the decades before being charged as the Gilgo Beach serial killer
  • It's unclear what he charged for the projects, but his fees would likely have been 10% to 15% of the costs, according to Nicholas DeFelice, an associate professor of architecture at the New York Institute of Technology in Old Westbury
Although some of Heuermann’s clients are based on Long Island, his work appears to be almost all for property in the five boroughs of New York City. His business, RH Consultants & Associates Inc., where he employed five people, focused on helping clients navigate the building code in the city, where he worked much of his professional life.

#RexHeuermann's wife is pleading for privacy and the ability to walk and go to the grocery store without having media in her face and in the face of her "elderly" neighbors. She described her life as a catastrophe. While many think she was complicit, law enforcement has said no, she was not. She has returned to her house and is hoping to find peace. Where else can she go?

I'm not sure there is a widespread belief she is complicit - I assumed the opposite is true. The interest in her isn't because people think she was involved in the crimes but simply because she lived in the same house as an accused SK.

It would be nice if the local grocery store offered delivery service for a month or two, just to save her the walk in front of media to run regular household errands.

I live in the city and walk to the store for my own groceries. I have to go a few times a week because I can't carry everything for a week in one trip. This is not a small task for her, with two grown kids to also feed, plus heavy household items I'm sure she needs to put the home back together. She needs delivery service for awhile, imo, and the store could arrange that.

I think the Newsday article overestimates Heuermann's fees. Although the projects Heuermann was involved with may have totaled $68.1 million, the role he played may have been limited to expediting permits, analyzing code compliance and services other than design and construction documents. He would only get fees in the vicinity of 10% to 15% if he was the architect who signed and stamped the construction drawings. However, his services are of the type hired by other architects (and building owners) to facilitate navigating NYC's complex permit and code procedures. Heuermann's role would be limited, and he wouldn't get the entire fee unless he was responsible for the entire project, including design, construction documents and engineering consultants. IMO his fees would be much less.

The fee range noted is used by some architects, but others mainly use hourly fees.

I agree. He made a living, but he wasn't bringing in a huge amount of income, imo. And, it's possible he spent more than he made.

I'm guessing some months and years were better than others in terms of income. I wonder if covid affected his earnings.

ETA: Okay, WTH ? Any locked or unlocked containers including, but not limited to, locked rooms, storage areas, vaults, canbinets ,safes , closets...

Silly Billy gave me one time permission to post this youtube link. It's worth watching, imo. Lee discusses the South Carolina search warrant from a lawyer's POV.

“Police are now searching for "trophies," such as personal items belonging to victims, including but not limited to their "telephones, articles of clothing, jewelry, identification, notebooks, ledgers, Bibles, personal effects and/or photographs or recordings depicting the victims," inside the green Avalanche, the July 14 search warrant for the vehicle states.”

The Bible really sticks out to me for some reason. It just seems odd. The clothing, jewelry, recordings, and notebooks I expected since those are all typical things taken as trophies by serial killers. Does anyone know if one of the G4 was known to carry a bible or may have attended church (even if it was infrequently)?

I’m probably reading too much into it. What are everyone else’s thoughts?
This is off-the-wall, but I wonder if he requested they bring a Bible??

Amber was very involved in church when she lived in Florida. Can't see her carrying a bible on a date where she left her phone and purse behind, though.

I know what you mean. The infliction of torture extends beyond the initial victim.

I often think of the 1985 case of Sharon "Shari" Smith (kidnapped and murdered by Larry Gene Bell).

Oh I just read a book on Larry Gene Bell...truly evil. He would call and taunt her sister ...sick. sick ..reminds me of
RH.

That makes much more sense than my goofy theory. :) Thanks for keeping it sane. jmo
