I have a stupid question. And I say it's stupid because I'm sure it's been said somewhere and I've missed it in all my readings etc. Why are they called the Gilgo Four if there's only 3 victims? I'm catching up on a final article that's popped up just on my computer's breaking news and other articles. (Final as in for today, obviously not for the case)

I know over the country there have been quite a few victims like this and only 3 tied to RH so far. This might be a complicated question as well as a stupid one, I apologize again.
He hasn't been charged yet for the fourth victim, but he's the primary suspect. The four were found near each other on Gilgo Beach. The charges for the fourth victim are expected.

Thank you that clears it up. I was getting so confused

I'm confused - it shows tomorrow's appearance as an adjournment. Do you think that means it's been postponed?
We are likely to see many adjournments, my guess would be short ones. MOO

There may be a link between Jessica Taylor (LI) Jodie Brewer and Misty Marie Saens (LV). All three were dismembered and deposited at different sites, their torsos were covered in plastic too. Two of them went missing in 2003 (Mar + July), one in 2005 (May)
Hopefuly ,once Rex is hung out to dry , we can put those Manorville Victims in a stable place and figure that out . I just am not sure that Rex isnt involved in those other cases but it does seems clear if it was him his MO changed , so much that the crimes do not look like the other ones, which I really believe could happen over a 40 year killing spree.
Shannon mentioned Jones Beach in her 911 call, which I thought was interesting in relation to her being freaked out and thinking Mike set her up. Were there rumors amoung the sex workers working out of AC about Jones Beach? I remember gooogling through bad date post in the area but nothing stood out to me .
Jessica wants her murder solved ,she had to be found twice ,I have this feeling about dog hair they were hoping to find at Rex's but didnt.
Anyway I had one time heard that JT had lived in Orange county VA during her high school years does anyone have any notes on this?

The color might be the same but the removal of the inclosed porch is a pretty big change.
This perspective suits the house well. And the snow. ;)

They really don’t HAVE to leave the house if they don’t want to, as far as groceries and necessities. There is a stop n shop down the block that delivers, whole foods and we have every food delivery option for every restaurant/fast food. Hopefully the press will get bored and move on.
Being as they took her fridge and freezer ,she probably isnt prepared to even cook at home ,not seen reports about things going back in so as far as I know .
This link mentions these items being taken.

Heuermann was set to appear at Riverhead court Tuesday afternoon, a representative from Tierney's office confirmed. Online court records showed a conference is planned. However, further details couldn't immediately be provided.

In an exclusive interview with The Post Monday, Asa Ellerup, 59, said she’s been riddled with anxiety after investigators spent 12 days ripping up her Massapequa Park home in their search for evidence in the alleged slayings.

The damage is so bad, she said, she doesn’t even have a bed to sleep in.

“I woke up in the middle of the night, shivering,” a still-shocked Ellerup said. “Anxiety.

My children cry themselves to sleep. I mean, they’re not children. They’re grown adults but they’re my children, and my son has developmental disabilities and he cried himself to sleep,” she continued about the emotional toll the stunning case has had on her kids.

Her daughter, Victoria Heuermann, meanwhile, has expressed feeling “not human” in wake of the mess left behind.

Asked what she meant, Ellerup’s lawyer, Bob Macedonio, chimed in, “She meant what they’ve done to them and the family is not even human. They were just complete animals. They treated them like animals.”

Images from inside the home obtained exclusively by The Post show a disheveled nightmare, with boxes strewn about and piled up high. One photo shows a piece of the bathtub cut out and a chunk of the tile on the floor missing.

This is heart wrenching. How the hell are they supposed to to live like this? It seems like the only place for them to sit comfortably on their property, either inside or out is on the front porch. It’s so unfair. My heart is bleeding for this family. I wish they could have temporary housing, even if it was in a hotel.

Really awful. According to LE the house was cluttered to begin with. Now its not inhabitable. This is just so wrong.

For comparison, not to go off topic but noting..
Canadian killer Russell William's wife insisted her new floors be replaced after they became scratched during a search by LE. It was done.
''BELLEVILLE, Ont. - Ontario taxpayers footed the bill to repair the floors of convicted sex killer Col. Russell Williams' Ottawa home after police searched it for evidence.
An Ontario Provincial Police spokeswoman says if there's damage after police search a home, an owner can seek compensation.
Sgt. Kristine Rae says such a request was made for the Williams residence, and it was granted.''

''The brother of one of Williams' murder victims, Andy Lloyd, called it ridiculous that police paid "$3,000 to fix her hardwood floors and apparently $1,400 to fix a lamp because the OPP damaged them dragging boxes of bras out of her house."

I've seen some people here speculate that he was here among us watching the investigation etc. Even using us to figure out how to contact the producers of The Killing Season. It could be, if that is the case, he used it to figure out he had to change his MO. Especially if he's been stalking and killing for decades. He would have to evolve, if anything with technology evolving and with other killers having similar ideas (like the mutual 'dump' site) he would likely get more paranoid if anything.

Even if he was a narcissist, even if he thought he was too smart or too good like most SK narcissists do, he would have to have sweat a couple times throughout these investigations. Then when he would skate, that's when the confidence would come back and he'd just continue. Maybe changing the MO, maybe changing something else along the way. This is completely an opinion and speculation of course.

My question is, even though they are saying he isn't connected (For whatever reasons we may not know yet) to at least the AC killings. Who's to say this isn't some network of killers across the country just going after SW? Could this actually be some sort of network of killers that want to get rid of SW? Or some weird form of INCELS that are even more angry with women for their various reasons communicating on the dark web and back channels and burner phones. I mean sometimes a spade isn't a spade and whole networks are discovered. Look what happened with Epstein. This is huge Hollywood stretching on my brain's part but what if somehow all these murders are related? Just not how we think they are and not in a way we've discovered yet and what if there are fail safes so we never do so it just keeps happening? I mean stranger things right? But yeah, just pure speculation here on my part just wanted to get the elephant out of my head and into the room I guess even if it's a little pink one ^_^

I would hope the county does the right thing by them. I know it’s not something that would happen overnight, but they have to help them and give them a functional home to live in.

That fund raiser needs to happen, they need to hire a skip and buy some new things with the proceeds of the funding.

it seems very obvious that she has no money of her own at all.
I'm mentally adding slavery to his list of crimes, he probably controlled every cent.
i think it's right she reclaims her home, her social structures and whatever help she receives for her son, if any are in proximity to that address.

She talks about her 3000$ greenhouse. not an awful lot of money but huge to her.. it would be great if neighbours bought her a new one and got her some plants to start over... she needs that contact with plants, it seems.

She again, demonstrates great love for her children.
She improvises well, she didn't lie down and die, she sorted makeshift beds..
they are together and together they will be able to face it.

She's no longer angry at the media, saving her energy for her priorities, existence.
i wish her the best and that she regains her strength and will to move forward and I think it's likely she is motivated to do that now, if not for herself, for her children.

It's early days yet however.

I continue to hope she will not relent and go visit him because she will lose all public support, if she has any, if she weakens in that regard, she will also lose herself and right now she is all she has.

Forward Sister!

Re: Jessica Taylor....I had not heard of the Orange, VA connection before, but will see what I can find as that area is very near to where I'm located.

It is my understanding her missing persons report was done in Washington DC

It’s awful what’s happened to them and their house, but her attorney is pointing the blame in the wrong direction. It is RH, the alleged murderer of the women who has done this to them. LE HAD to conduct their search and investigation, and to the full extent called for in the warrant and they cannot be limited by the fact that the subject of their search is a home where others live. Justice for the murder victims demands that evidence that probable cause indicates may be there be sought out, regardless of the damage that search entails.

Her attorney should instead be appealing for help on the basis that AE and her adult children are innocent victims too and the betrayal by RH has cost them in their own home.

Wow. In the US, this kind of thing happens more often with vehicles. A vehicle is lent or stolen and is searched for a crime it, too, is often returned with the interior gutted out.

It seems reasonable to me that a cooperating unaccused party should be compensated at least to restore vehicles or homes to functioning. Maybe cosmetic damage and inessential removed property can be tolerated for the sake of Justice. But, couldn't she at least have a mattress, a fridge, a dumpster and a few chairs?

Edited to add: I wonder how what it was LE thought could have been seeping between the bathroom tiles and under the fiberglass bathtub? I wonder if they found reason to believe someone other than Rex and AE was in the bed? What do they think will be learned from the freezer and fridge?

MOO

Isn't the township considering buying the house? Even if unfair to the family, moving to a new place might be cheaper and easier than trying to restore that place under current circumstances.

It's painful to think how much damage that ogre caused.
