Agreed. I doubt he's in a frame of mind to be able to concentrate on reading a novel or long work, so how would you pass the endless time?I think I'd talk to anyone to break up the day.

I wouldn't be surprised if other people found it too, it wasn't difficult. I assumed it was me because I posted it to the other site on a Saturday (7/15/23) and it was in NY Post on Monday along with the erroneous fact Rex was standing on 36th St (the screenshot I posted was labeled 1E 36th St). I know this isn't relevant to the case or any great sleuthing feat (just luck he happened to be there), just clarifying facts.Someone did post it here though, not sure about timing but I remember it.
Yes.Beyond "transportation and gratification" as motivation to dismember, I would also add "to threaten or warn others," if the killer did it to motivate others who had something in common with the victim (other escorts, other drug users, someone who is aware of something hidden and illegal) to keep quiet, stay in line, or something like that.
I'd read novels. probably ones that need considerable effort so I'd be all in.Agreed. I doubt he's in a frame of mind to be able to concentrate on reading a novel or long work, so how would you pass the endless time?
DBMYes.

Probably really hard ones that I have to take notes to keep up. Just to stay very engaged in a fantasy world.
the best novel like that? The Other Black Girl. It was a really hard book to follow. But it was totally worth it to unravel. I think I read it 2-3 years ago, and still, I think about the bizarre connections to this day.
Maybe reread things like sound and fury. That takes super concentration (For me). Then I'd forget my surroundings.

I just watched the trailer for the movie.Yes.

I wonder if that was the only door in the house that needed to be customized for Rex's hulking frame.rbbm Aug 14 2023

Happy Face Killer’s daughter slams claim Gilgo suspect's wife was an accomplice
''THE wife of accused Gilgo Beach killer Rex Heuermann was “100 percent” not an accomplice to her husband’s sick alleged crimes and her life has been “totally destroyed”…
'Asa Ellerup invited Melissa Moore to her home on Long Island after she started a to help with repairs and other costs after Rex Heuermann's arrest
''She flew from her native California to New York on August 5 to meet with Asa, Christopher, and Victoria, in person to offer them her support firsthand.
During the time they spent together, Moore said she was struck by Ellerup's compassion for others and said it's evident she is still struggling to process the events of the last month''
"Her innocence is clear. I've been in this space for so long, I've met hundreds of other families going through similar circumstances, and I can read a person very well.
"When the day comes when she finally feels like sharing her story, everybody will have no doubt that she wasn't involved in any way.''
''She arrived at the family's home on the morning of August 6 as volunteers from two companies - Gorilla Security and Protection and G&D Remodeling - were bringing debris and broken furniture from inside the home into a dumpster outside.''
''The bathroom door - which had been custom-made by Rex to cater to his hulking six-foot-four frame - was missing from its hinges and Ellerup had nailed a curtain over the doorframe for privacy, Moore said.''
Does anyone recall seeing doors being hauled out? So odd that they would only take the one.I wonder if that was the only door in the house that needed to be customized for Rex's hulking frame.
geoblockedI am getting a "link cannot be found" error message for your link. A geo-block perhaps?
Anyone else?
Edit to add: I managed to get in via going to the Pix11 site directly and clicking on the story. Link below for any others who may have issues:

Murdered mom in suitcase gets new attention amid Gilgo Beach serial killer case
When part of Tanya Rush's body was discovered in a black suitcase near the Southern State Parkway in June 2008, police didn't know the mystery of who killed her would linger for 15 years.pix11.com
And sds71's link still does not work for me.
Wherever the alleged killer may have regularly taken his victims (if not to an outdoor setting) presumably he would need a bathroom, if so, wondering if he would alter that door too? speculation, imoI wonder if that was the only door in the house that needed to be customized for Rex's hulking frame.

along with all of the tiles... the linoleum was left on the kitchen floor.....Does anyone recall seeing doors being hauled out? So odd that they would only take the one.
I can’t imagine they’d take the door and removed tiles without luminol showing there had been evidence of a crime. I’m guessing nothing showed on the linoleum or it would be gone, too.I wonder if that was the only door in the house that needed to be customized for Rex's hulking frame.

I watched it an did not like it very much. Very sensationalized, as Nancy does. She also needs to stop using the word H*okers, how degrading. JMO
