@ 5:05 Macedonio admits RH did indeed carry out these brutal torturous murders when AE was out of town which he called "homicides"

Ahh yes. the American Way is making money.
"it is what it is" eh? especially when making those big buck off the backs of women your husband murdered.
Despicable.

Peacock Deal & the Divorce (hoarding RH assets - house/guns).... "The American Dream"..... just stop !

It should not be allowed. To get all AE ducks in a row before a plea of Guilty to eight (8) torture dismemberment kills.

IMO Bluntly: It is monetizing murder

The poor victims

if it had been me I would have panicked and divorced Rex to protect family assets. it's legally advisable and I'm sure the attorneys told her she had to do this right away and she did. Now how about a go-fund me for the victims? .how about helping them? what about that child who has no mother? Asa has cancer and problems that may impede any kind of action on her part...but what is she doing? she is still in that house! even with the money she already amassed....I don't know how this lawsuit will go but she should not be making a cottage industry of her murdering husband...and believe me that is what she is doing..these people are eccentric and bizarre. I hope she is forced to hand over some of this money she is getting from the media.

who does she think she is? does she even care? I really sense a greedy sociopath...and I hate to say it. mOO

Lest we forget AE's lawyer Bob Macedonio's "American Dream"came true.

"The family’s lawyers will also be receiving compensation for their participation as well."

"Ellerup’s lawyer, Robert Macedonio, is said to have signed a $400,000 deal while Vess Mitev, a lawyer for Heuermann’s daughter Victoria and his stepson Christopher, is said to have been paid $200,000. When contacted, Mitev and Macedonio both declined comment."

Still living in the house of alleged horrors: Victoria Heuermann and her mom were photographed by a crew from Peacock—along with local/national media—as their attorney concluded a press conference on the eve of #RexHeuermann’s expected guilty plea

Ellerup and her daughter held a news conference on Wednesday afternoon, where their attorney, Robert Macedonio, blasted the lawsuit as "reckless."

"The individual responsible acted alone. Rex Heuermann has been indicted and charged with a series of homicides and he will have his day in court to answer his charges, which we all know will be tomorrow morning," Macedonio said. "My clients have fully cooperated with law enforcement from the very beginning. There is no evidence that implicates them in any way. None. Unfortunately, there has now been a civil lawsuit filed that attempts to suggest otherwise. The lawsuit is reckless, irresponsible, and completely, completely, unsupported by the facts of this case."

What was THAT about? They're just standing there like models while the press takes pics? So bizarre!

BBC are reporting it is Karen Vergata (KV)

:(

Suffolk County DA
No one reported Karen Vergata missing after she vanished on Valentine's Day 1996
The New York architect charged with seven murders in Gilgo Beach on Long Island is expected to plead guilty in the death of an eighth victim, the BBC has learned.

Rex Heuermann, 62, was arrested in 2023 and has pleaded not guilty in seven killings between 1993 and 2011.

Lawyer John Ray, who represents some of the victims' families, confirmed to the BBC that Heuermann is expected to plead guilty during a court appearance on Wednesday.

He is also expected say he is guilty for the death of Karen Vergata. Vergata's partial remains were identified in 2023. They had been found on a New York beach after she vanished in 1996.

Like I do with the victims’ families, I commend John Ray for continuing to be an advocate for the Gilgo Beach victims and for not backing down in his fight against Suffolk County PD when they and the media sought to shame, blame dehumanize and belittle the victims over of seeking justice for them.

Nonetheless, I do wonder why he insists that because VH shared a home with her father she had to have known that he was the Long Island Serial Killer. As difficult as it is to believe, VH not being aware of RH’s predatory behavior, sexual perversions and responsibility for the brutal abductions, torture and murders of at least 8 young sisters, mothers and daughters is not unlike the experiences and recollections of the children of other notorious serial killers such as the Boston Strangler, BTK, Israel Keys and the Golden State Killer. Not only is it not uncommon for serial killers to be married and have families but most wear masks of normalcy that fool even the ones they come home to everyday. It is not like they all come off like Hannibal Lecter whose presence alone makes one’s instincts scream predator and ‘at risks of harm’. At most many just seem odd to their spouses and kids but they adapt enough not to constantly set alarm bells off. Many also keep their crimes and proclivities hidden from their wives and kids as a way to either protect them, like in the case of IK, or to protect themselves by reducing the risks of their relatives divulging this information to others or their response attracting the attention of law enforcement. Considering IK kept his poor victims remains in his own backyard without alerting his wife or kid, one can only imagine the secrets even a house as small as RH’s can keep to itself. John Ray mentioned that the smell of human should have been detectable to anyone sharing that space but considering that his wife and kids were gone when some of the murders committed and RH is said to be meticulous, that is likely something he addressed and solved long before they came back home that summer. Members of organized crime networks may also find similar patterns in terms of their wives and children and other family members lack of awareness of just what types of lifestyles they are living or the level of criminality they are involved in.

I think learning how RH could get away with committing these horrific murders for so long without being detected by his friends or family or LE is important in gaining justice and answers to the victims and their families and looking at his family dynamics may be useful in profiling and stopping perps similar to RH in the future, and thereby hopefully save lives as a result, but I don’t think constantly drawing attention to VH or making her seem like an extreme case or the rare outlier actually involved in aiding or concealing the crimes of their parent who is a serial killer is helpful, especially after Tiernay already said repeatedly that she is not a suspect or thought to have aides RH abet the law.

Don't you think it is likely the lawyers who are guiding all this? Had they ever expressed any concern for the victims before being sued by one? I don't recall if they did. Being completely gob-smacked with RH's arrest, AE likely was comforted to have someone looking after her and has continued to follow BM's guidance. Just my own guess here. While I find AE to be the most unsympathetic "victim" ever, the look on VH's face during Macedonio's circus of a press conference yesterday was miserable and haunting to me. For a child to grow up in what that atmosphere must have been is unimaginable.

I do hope the families of the victims find a way to cut into the money grabbing by the attorneys and Heuermanns, but I'd bet the laws are already in place to protect the lawyers' earnings.

If RH does plead guilty to the death of KV, it validates what Lorraine Paulino has reported - that she went with her boyfriend the cop, along with Karen, to the home of RH for swinger sex, and that she met the wife AE. The prosecutors therefore must have sufficient evidence to get a guilty plea from him about this.

That recent presser was the first time I saw Macedonia mention the actual murder victims in a sentence near his diatribe about the house being searched and that being the real crime.

He's a grifter and maybe the lawsuit did him good. He finally acknowledged people have been murdered and taken away from their families forever.
