He was a wild guy!

Suffered from numerous health issues and had been critically ill in the hospital for a while.

Cream drummer Ginger Baker dies | Daily Mail Online

I didn't realize he worked with McCartney on the "Band on the Run" album.

Yikes, he did heroin for 20+ years starting in the early 60's. Always thought he must have had good DNA to keep going so many years.

Had open heart surgery several years ago and also suffered from emphysema, chronic pulmonary disease and arthritis.

Every garage band in the U.S. played this song and the drummers loved imitating Ginger. Fun times.

Another favorite, Blind Faith

Fly Free dear Ginger Baker!
A fascinating man, vibrant, sexy, and fiery like his red hair. He was one of the best drummers ever.

Definitely some of the best classic rock bands ever. Nothing touches the artists from that time, they were simply amazing and free! So sad to see them passing away one after the other.

Da*n, if Ginger Baker went we're next! So innovated. On to the next thing. His jazz fusion stuff from the 70's with African influences was some great work.

A friend told me there's a documentary and can't swear on the name. Like "Beware Of Mr. Baker"? Famously wouldn't think anything of telling you to bugger off.

Think an ex said if a plane went down Ginger would be the only survivor. Gotta respect that.

80? 80? Man, I feel old.
