Alarming, I'll agree! It all seems so vague until you see it mapped out.

I'm not sure how reasonable this comparison is. In the US several of the things listed are total non events, such as a "7-11 in FL evacuated for a suspicious package" or "suspicious white powder found in CA" or "service disrupted at NY subway station - police on scene"...but nothing has come of any of those incidents.

However, the only incident listed on the entire continent of Africa is for militants attacking a natural gas facility.

In South America, one of the three reports is for someone being killed at a political rally.

Do you really think the reporting is equal?

I keep this map on my desktop to be able to click and view when I want and noticed that they are adding gang and illegal alien activity. Lots of the reports on the map never even make the news.

Thanks for posting the link to the map. What an interesting find. I just grabbed one of my daughter's and showed her the map. What a great (yet frightening) teaching tool that everyone can use.
