I just found an obit for the father of Gregory-

Arthur is survived by his life partner of 60 years, LJ, sons; LH and his wife RH of Brooklyn, NY and Gregory Hampton-El of Lakewood, WA; daughters; MB of South Carolina and DW of Bremerton, WA

Seems like the people I found were a match for him.

Christina- Thank you for the information. Although unclaimed, Mr. Hampton-el was given a military burial at Tahoma National Cemertery in Kent, Washington. I will attempt to contact brother Leon at the address you provided.
