DA EVANS | Curtis Flowers | Tardy Furniture Murders Has any action been taken against DA Evans in the Curtis Flowers Case? Like a wrongful death suit for the victims of cookie did when he should of never been out free?
Allowed a known repetitive criminal off on countless charges, thus allowing his snitch do whatever he want. Not limited to nearly running over a police officer. Then allowing, yes allowing he should of been in jail for countless crimes for three murders.

Why is he, DA Evans not held accountable? He should be facing wrongful death suit from the victims family’s. He should be held as an accomplice to the murders. His only focus has even been one person other than that he has zero regard to Laws. Hold him to a accountable he is suppose to be enforcing laws, and trying criminals. He should be held to a higher standard when it comes to justice. The laws he supposedly upholding. Give Curtis Flowers a fair trial or let him free. Find the real murder. Hold DA Evans accountable for his actions. Missouri should call for a thorough investigation into this.

The controversial Mississippi prosecutor will win another four-year term and could decide if Curtis Flowers faces a seventh trial.

"With the U.S. Supreme Court about to hear oral arguments in the case of Curtis Flowers, the outlines of a possible seventh trial in the 22-year saga are beginning to take shape.

Flowers has been tried six times for the 1996 murders of four people at a furniture store in Winona, Mississippi, and remains on death row. Doug Evans — the district attorney who's prosecuted all six trials and received national attention for his handling of the case — will run for reelection unopposed. The Mississippi Secretary of State's office announced on Friday evening, at the close of the candidate filing period for the 2019 election, that no one had decided to challenge Evans in the state's Fifth Circuit Court District.
Evans' conduct has been widely criticized following revelations in the second season of In the Dark, a podcast by APM Reports. The Supreme Court is reviewing Flowers' contention that Evans dismissed African-Americans in jury selection because of their race, which is unconstitutional. The High Court will hear oral arguments in the case on March 20...."

This is the problem with a lot of wrongful convictions. Prosecutors are immune by law. Until this is changed, along with holding the detectives/officers who worked the case accountable, wrongful convictions will continue.

Prosecutors like DA Evans are only interested in the win, and what it looks like on paper.
