I used to love watching this show as a child with my Dad.

The picture on the link you provided is dated 2007....they both look so much younger than men in their 60's.
Hee Haw always makes me think of my Grandma. (miss her so much)
Yeah, I admit, I enjoyed the show. ....."gloom despair and agony on me"......."Hey, Grandpa, what's for supper?"......Grandpa Jones...String Bean....etc.

I hated watching Hee Haw when I was little.But I enjoyed it when I got older and love watching clips ect of it.I like the Gloom and Dispair bit too.I also enjoyed the "Pfft you were gone" bits.

My parents would always sing this song to me whenever I would whine about something. It always made me mad.
