Hello everyone,
I’m new and happy to finally be here! My love for true crime started with podcasts in 2016 and since then

In June young man from my town in Canada went missing. It was ruled homicide due to evidence and they have two people in custody but his body was never found. I know the victims sister and it breaks my heart that they haven’t had closure.

Where can I post about this case? It’s technically still a missing person case... any guidance would be helpful!

People close to the accused and victim posted a lot of information about the case almost immediately after the victim went missing. Just peaking around Facebook a bit I have found a lot but more eyes would be helpful.

thank you so much!

Welcome to Websleuths!

You'll need a link to a main stream media article or law enforcement report for your post.

There is a Missing forum. Click on Post New Thread:

Missing Persons Discussion

Your thread title could include the missing man's last known location & the date of disappearance, and his name.

After starting the thread for this missing man, click here & begin the Verified Insider process for his case:

Verification Process for Professional or Insider Posters

This is a great community, very good at locating information. I'm sorry to learn about your friend's missing brother!

Total newbie here. Am having a little trouble with some of the acronyms listed in various posts. For instance:
  • What is an IMO cold case?
  • What does LE mean?
  • What does MSM mean?
  • More importantly, is their a FAQ forum/thread that addresses the use of acronyms?
Signed,

LE seems to be largely used in the US, so if you are in Canada, like me, you might wish to use the words "police", or "investigators", and that's ok too.

How would you like to help out? What brought you here, and what do you hope to find here?

Well, I'm looking for a way to help out the people who have been ignored, mislead, mistreated and sidelined just because they were different from the rest or they dared to say something that opposed the general opinion of the crowd. My mom took my charger away which led me to reading a book that sparked a conversation with a stranger named Gavin on the train. After the talk I started thinking that I should start leaving my phone behind and start doing something worthwhile. I was reading an article about Mostly Harmless, the hiker without a name, and I saw this website. I hope to find hope and others who are like me. After all I can't be the only one that cares about the world. Forgive me for the longhand reply but the background may help you know how I think.

Heh! Kudos to you for finding this website. Why don't you take a look around at the various threads and read a bit so that you get an idea of what this site is all about. I'm sure you will find a place here for further interesting conversations.
