Help Finding Car Owners

Hey all,

I wondered if anyone would know how I would obtain records on who owned a certain vehicle during a certain year in Texas? I am researching a cold case and my gut absolutely tells me the ex girlfriend was involved. There was a car seen leaving the scene of the crime, but I have no way of finding out if someone involved in the crime owned a car similar to that at the time. The place the crime took place isn't a big city neither are the surrounding areas so I don't think there would be many of that car seen around, especially given it's age.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
