Hi Amanda, sorry about what has happened to your dad and the fact you still are in limbo with no closure. I posted his case because I think it is sad it doesnt get the coverage it deserves, and also because keeping it public might just reach one person with a hint of a conscience who can give the police, and yourself, the answers.
I just wanted to clarify that when I said your dad might have upset someone, I wasn't meaning he had intentionally done anything wrong, rather that someone was upset with him for their own reasons. As we unfortunately know, people get upset and carry out extreme acts against others, even over perseved wrongs that haven't actually happened. Hope that makes sense! Your dad seems to have been a nice, well liked man, and so I think those who have taken from you did so for their own wrongs rather than anything your dad did to them.

Sincere apologies for my response, I think I just wanted to protect my Dads character even though I fully understand what you were trying to convey, sorry! It was really bizarre to come across this forum & see my Dads case being discussed. I am now a 51 year old Nan who was nearly 16 when my Dad disappeared..my Dad would be 73 now..he was 37 when he vanished. That in itself sounds surreal. There have been several cold case reviews, news reports/appeals over the years & the police did have another suspect, aside from the 4 that were arrested. Unfortunately this person was taken in for questioning & has since passed away. My hope is that one day I get to lay him to rest. Thank you for posting his case x

No need to apologise at all! I can understand how odd it is to see strangers talking about your dad and feel protective of him. I'm glad you are happy to have this posted though, and will keep hoping you get some resolution in the not too distant future x
