Maui police seek help with information in cold case from 28 years ago | Maui Now

The Maui Police Department Cold Case Unit requests the public’s assistance in identifying a man who was found deceased in the waters off Kahului Harbor breakwater on Sept. 25, 1996.

''The Maui Police Department Cold Case Unit requests the public’s assistance in identifying a man who was found deceased in the waters off Kahului Harbor breakwater on Sept. 25, 1996.

The deceased man is described as in his late 30s, approximately 5 feet 9 inches tall, and weighing around 230 pounds. The man was discovered shirtless and wearing gray-colored gym shorts, with a yellow-colored mesh dive bag floating nearby. It is estimated that the man had been in the water for less than 24 hours before his recovery.
A forensic sketch of the man depicted is posted below.''

Sounds like he was partial eaten by sealife just my guess

My best guess is that’s an error? Although the other comment about sea life could be right, wouldn’t that be labeled as decomposition?

Also they say they measured height and weight. He couldn’t have been skeletonized and still weigh over. 200 pounds, right?
