CrimeStoppers and the Honolulu Police Department are seeking the public’s assistance in locating Tory Anne Nakayama. Nakayama entered the Maile Pillbox trail on Tuesday, February 9, 2021, at approximately 2 p.m. She is known to frequent this trail. There has not been any contact with her since. Family and friends are very concerned for her safety and wellbeing.

30-year-old missing woman found dead on Ma'ili Pillbox trail

A missing 30-year-old hiker was found dead on a hiking trail located on O'ahu's west side Wednesday morning.

Tory Anne Nakayama was located on the Ma'ili Pillbox trail where she had last been heard from on Tuesday, at approximately 2 p.m.

Firefighters recover body of missing 30-year-old hiker in Maili

She was found Wednesday around 11 a.m., 200 feet below the Maili Pillbox Trail.

Police said Nakayama was familiar with the trail and hiked the area frequently.

Details on the cause of death are still unknown.
