Hawaii island police are still searching for 51-year-old Vesna Young who was reported missing from the Milolii area in South Kona last week.

This is her FB, many photos and information. I hope she is safe

She is picturing some quite active life, but this never shows how it is on the inside or if there are any problems. I fear there were some issues.

(Update #1): Hawaiʻi Island police are renewing their request for information in locating 51-year-old Vesna Young, who was reported missing from the Miloli‘i area in South Kona.

When I first saw the thread I thought she was from Hawaii (since the car wasn't mentioned as a rental which usually means tourist). As of August of last year on her FB she was posting about being married 20 years to her husband (Jake) and had an instragram post up about the same with pictures of their two girls. https://www.instagram.com/girdwoodmassage/reel/C_L0BFQKb7N/

No court records (civil or otherwise) in Alaska. But his is where it gets weird - the massage institute she trained at has a post up on their FB page about her "passing" March 19, and there's a go fund me" to pay for funeral expenses online and on FB, showing a photo of her and her family, the same ones pictured on her FB page that's already raised close to $30,000. So if family/friends and/or assocites in Alaska are saying she's deceased why are the police looking for her as of 2 days ago.

I found an obituary from Garrett Funeral Chapels. https://garrettfuneralchapels.com/news/vesna-young/

If you look on FB there are posts from a family member dated March 19 with a a sad update.

Still not sure why the police are still actively posting it, unless it's jut because they haven't located a body and until such time they do or there is a witness to what happened they are treating it legally as a "missing person".

This is, if you’re willing/capable to, worth mentioning to the tip-line/police in Hawaii.

I’ve seen more cases where police didn’t inform eachother, with frustration afterwards. It could give more stress to loved ones & could cost more workhours / policemen who could otherwise investigate other cases.
I hope the family already have their answers & can start to grieve!

I can't find the FB update, however
just looking at a map of where her car was found, it was very near the ocean - which can be dangerous in HI.. I can imagine a scenario where she went for a swim, and family concludes she drowned.

Here is the google map of where her car was found - not this specific spot, but "near this address" according to LE in the missing person information. There's not a "beach" per se, there is one in the area but is much further south. The shoreline itself is quite rocky. Street View · Google Maps

Thanks.

I think that is where they report her as 'last seen'.

"Her unattended vehicle was located near the 88-100 block of Kai Ave in Miloli‘i ".

I can't match your fabuluous google image, the best I can supply is this:

Because I once visited near here and explored a bit, I have been curious (as well as confused about what happened).

She had a YT channel, which shows her swimming off rocks in this area.

I don't know what happened but I am so sorry for her family, they must be heart broken.
