How do you post tweets and YouTube-videos?

Seriously, I've never figured this out.
I was just in some other thread where everyone had posted videos that actually showed up, whenever I try and post anything it just shows the link.

Please see the image I've posted below. You click the 3 dots next to the photo symbol, then click the one I've pointed the arrow at. Then paste the link into the box that comes up.

If this doesn't make sense I'll try to explain it better.
