Oct 21, 2025 another article; not sure if there is anything new.

Revak is also a person of interest in the disappearance of an Iowa anchor Jodi Huisentruit back in 19-95.

Degase said, “He had a girlfriend that lived right around the corner from Jodi. That’s the only connection we have to it. I’ve done this for 32 years. I don’t believe in coincidence. I don’t believe you have a guy who’s a serial killer who lives in Ava, Missouri and commits a murder. He kills Deidre Harm in Wisconsin Rapids and now we have a place where he was at and right next door to where his girlfriend was at we have another person that was murdered.”

I was just reading about this. I don't think it is going help find her body though. He seemed very good at getting rid of people. Makes you wonder how many more?

''When the walls began closing in on suspected serial killer Christopher Revak in July 2009, he hanged himself in his Missouri jail cell.''

'Cops say that Revak — once named as a person of interest in the infamous disappearance of Iowa news anchor Jodi Huisentruit — has been named as the monster behind the 2006 killing of a Wisconsin woman.
More chilling, detectives believe Revak is responsible for more murders throughout the Midwest.'

''Cops believe Revak may be linked to as many as five murders over 14 years, including the disappearance of Huisentruit, whose body has never been found.''

Interesting, hopefully they can link some actual evidence to say whether it is or not, because that sketch and his photo look nothing alike. The sketch appears to show someone with a mullet or extremely unmaintained hair.

But you are also talking about a 30 year difference in the time she was taken, and when the current photo was taken. I hope they have something with DNA to prove it. It fits the MO

I think the sketch favors the guy.
Obviously it doesn’t look just like him, but it’s sketch made shortly after she disappeared, compared to a photo taken years later.
I’m starting to think there’s something to all this, but I’m also thinking it is way too late for any solid evidence to nail it down. Unfortunately.

Christopher Revak died by suicide in 2009. I'm not sure when the photo of him was taken. It looks earlier than 2009, I think it looks like it was taken in the early 2000s. It maybe a 1990s/early 2000s driver's license photo? The suspect sketch apparently came from the Deidre Harm case that he was later found responsible for. She was murdered in June of 2006. The photo maybe from after 2006, or more likely sometime before 2006. He must have a different hairstyle by 2006 (or possibly after).

Revak kind of looks like Richard E Grant. Also in this article it states that they have closed the Deidre Harm case and that Revak was her killer. How do they really know? From what I gather the only evidence is that he was in the area at the time.

"Wood County, Wisconsin authorities have officially closed their case. The district attorney says if Revak was alive he would charge him with murder, confident he would get a conviction.

“I’m just very, very happy for the family. They’ve been in our prayers since day one. I’m just glad we were able to be a small part of it,” said Degase."

Yet

“You look at the behavior that Chris Revak displayed that weekend is very suspect, and then you add all the pieces together. Through phone records, through financials, Chris Revak was in town the weekend that Deidre Harm went missing,” Becker said.

To me, that is not enough to confidently close an open case.

Well, his hair in those other two pictures sure looks more like the hair of the Deirdre Harm suspect.

It’s not really his MO though, morning abduction from a car park , compared to in a bar?

This guy is why they have searched Winsted in the past-

Early on he might have taken advantage of different opportunities. MO's can change and have for many serial killers.

key to the Huisentruit case is her being so late to work. someone was stalking her and knew her well and knew she was coming out and simple waited. There hasn't been a connection established to this guy, and MCPD knows it. They also fanned the racial flames of blaming Tony Jackson too. This case will never be solved unless someone from the inside of the Mason City PD decides it's time. This case has been badly handled.

That curious fact was also raised recently by a podcaster - questioning why the alleged stalker was so determined to patiently wait it out, an extra hour and a half, rather than, say, deciding she might have called in sick, and come back another night.

I just don't think there are easy answers.

For example, a stalker who was obsessed with watching her and knowing all about her, might become painfully obsessed having to wait so long in the parking lot that morning, that it precipitated his decision to finally take action.

Or, the abductor had decided for their own reason this was the day, and Jodi had a premonition/intuition that made her reluctant to go.

I don't share the belief that the perp can be guessed-at. There's almost no evidence. Genetic genealogy has revealed, over and over again, that these guys are almost never who police think they might be.
