Michael Bruce Johns, 28, was last seen on Tuesday, Oct. 24th. He is described as 5 feet, 7 inches and 180 lbs. Johns has short, light brown hair and a goatee. Police believe he may be in Charles City or Waterloo.

DCI: Foul play suspected in missing Iowa man's disappearance

The state's top investigators are saying a missing man's disappearance may be suspicious.

Johns was last spotted on surveillance video leaving a gas station in the Cedar Valley area in the early morning hours of the 25. Tips also indicated he was seen in an area between Charles City and Greene.

DCI Special Agent Scott Reger says, "All of the work we've been able to do leading to this point leads us to believe that there was foul play. We are asking for the public's assistance to locate him with the upcoming shotgun hunting season.

Grundy County authorities and the state are asking for your help in the disappearance of 26-year old Michael Johns. John’s was reported missing on October 26. Grundy County Sheriff Kirk Dollslager says they’ve had information in the case, and suspect foul play. Why, he won’t say.
Johns was arrested three times this year on various theft and drug charges. Anyone with information about Johns is asked to contact the Grundy County Sheriff’s office.

I don't know how to post a link but at KCRG.com out of Cedar Rapids, IA, reported on the 6pm news that a body has been found in Floyd county IA. It had not been identified yet, but they then mentioned this case. So...we'll wait and see for both identification and COD.

Waterloo man arrested in 2017 homicide of Grundy Center man

An arrest has been made in the unsolved killing of a Grundy Center man in 2017.

Armando Adame III, 28, of Waterloo, was arrested at the Fort Dodge Correctional Facility on Tuesday and charged with first-degree murder in the death of Michael Bruce Johns, 28, in 2017, according to the Iowa Department of Public Safety.

Adame was already serving a 25-year prison sentence after pleading guilty Oct. 24, 2018, for possessing a firearm as a felon, possessing ammunition as a felon and possession of an unregistered destructive device. He was first taken into custody just days after Johns' body was found.

Authorities arrest felon for Floyd County homicide

Thirteen months after a man died from a shotgun wound to a head, authorities arrested the man they say did it.

Authorities arrested Armando Adame III of Waterloo on Tuesday at the Fort Dodge Correctional Facility in Fort Dodge. He faces charges of first degree murder and a felon possessing a firearm.

28 year old Michael Johns went missing on October 26th, 2017 in rural Floyd County. Authorities determined foul play was involved. A criminal complaint shows Johns, Adame and a third person traveled through a portion of eastern Iowa together the two days prior to his disappearance.

A criminal complaint shows authorities interviewed the third person, who said on October 25th, Johns and Adame got into an argument inside a vehicle while driving from Charles City. The complaint goes on to say "while they were stopped on a gravel road, Adame pulled Johns out of the vehicle and then shot and killed Johns with a sawed off shotgun."
