Tim Fechter reported missing on Father’s Day

The Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation announced Tuesday it is assisting the Creston Police Department and the Union County Sheriff’s Office with an investigation into the disappearance of a 58-year-old Creston man.

DCI officials said Tim Fechter was reported missing to law enforcement on June 20. He was last seen in the early morning hours of June 20 at a home in the 600 block of Birch Street.

“The circumstances surrounding the disappearance of Mr. Fechter, along with his known medical conditions, have law enforcement actively attempting to locate him,” DCI officials said in a news release. “While the circumstances surrounding his disappearance have drawn the attention of law enforcement, there is no known or ongoing threat to the public.”

According to the DCI, Fechter is white, approximately 5’11, 185 pounds, with blue eyes. He has multiple tattoos on each hand and arm. He was last seen wearing a blue flannel shirt, camouflage cargo shorts and green high-top sneakers.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Union County Law Enforcement Center at 641-782-8402 or email the Iowa Missing Persons Information Clearinghouse at [email protected].

@Unsolved , Yikes. I'm sure LE knows about this. Also: just to give you a heads up, the FB you posted is his wife which since she isn't named in anything you may want to take that down. Just a thought. IMO

I better take it down - I do get confused if we're allowed to point at something and not discuss it LOL. And the poor Mods post the guidelines over and over and I think I've learned my lesson but still get itchy! Thanks!

Darn it, based on everything I read I kind of figured this would be the ending, but I always have hope. I thought just maybe he went elsewhere to stay away for awhile. So now I'm going to keep watching to see what LE comes up with as to exactly what happened to him - and if anyone talks.
