Ian Bairnson, who played for the Alan Parsons Project from 1976 to 1999, as well as for the band Pilot and for the first four albums by Kate Bush, passed away from dementia on April 7.

Almost every song by Parsons in the above period featured Ian on electric or acoustic (or both), the best-known example being the instrumental "Sirius" made famous by the Chicago Bulls teams of the 1990s, which is in the RS article above. A more obscure Parsons song that (IMO) is another great example of Ian's guitar talents is "Can't Take It with You" from the 1978 album Pyramid:
