Iconic Arch Collapses

This saddens me... since getting into photography, I have always wanted to see this arch and photograph it.

That is a shame. We take these things for granted because of their age.
If funding were available could it be patched back into place? I know it's been done before.

That scared me, I saw the subject line about the arch, and that it was from a St. Louis newspaper, and thought that the Gateway Arch had collapsed. Yikes!

Those arches in Utah are fascinating! It's normal for them collapse, but it's always sad when they do.

My husband and I have been to see the arches there, it's a beautiful place. A while back I remember there was a man caught trying to climb the arch.

I don't think there'd be any interest in that, because it would be going against the natural processes that makes the place so beautiful in the first place.

Guess we just have to enjoy these wonders while we have them.
