ICQ, One of the Oldest Instant Messengers, Is Shutting Down

ICQ will stop working on June 26. It's encouraging users to migrate to a messaging app from Russia-based VK, its parent company.

Years since I last used it, but it was the first instant messenger I used.

Encouraging users to migrate to VK. Did NOT see that one coming.

I'd forgotten about it, but now I do recall reading a couple of years ago that it most likely would close down.
I no longer have the programme, but it's likely on one of my old computers.
I used to love it, can still hear the notification sound.

After it sold to AOl it was never the same.
