The family and friends of 55-year-old Jimmy Rodriguez organized a search party Saturday morning.

Rodriguez was last seen January 24th around 5 p.m.

Family tells Local News 8 and KIDK Eyewitness News 3 that Rodriguez lives near Garcia's restaurant in Idaho Falls, but was last seen near the grain and fertilizer silos on Lindsay Boulevard north of Outback Steakhouse.

The family says an Idaho Falls Power truck dropped him off at his last seen location.

They believe his disappearance is suspicious because of where he was last seen.

Nearly 20 people showed up to search for Rodriguez on Saturday morning from where cadaver dogs last picked up his sent to a quarter mile north of his last known location.

There’s basically I-15 to the west and the Snake River to the east in that location.

<snipped> The family says an Idaho Falls Power truck dropped him off at his last seen location.

Strange detail. Why would an Idaho Falls Power truck be dropping him off? Did he ask to be dropped off there?

boo to the mugshot missing flyer.

I didn't even notice that it was a mugshot photo. I do know he has loved ones that were actively searching for him today.

4' 11" is astonishingly short for an adult man, though obviously well above the height of a dwarf. I thought it must be a mistake, and that he is 5' 11", until I saw him standing against the scale in the poster.

Can someone explain why the location is significant? As well as being by the silos it was also in front of a motel.

I'm not sure, perhaps info the locals know. I do have the location of the restaurant referenced in the write up above and it is near snake river.

This has been overtaken by events, but

Where he was dropped off is industrial, not much there commercially. I wasn't aware the Motel 6 was there. The RV Park is more of a place where people are living out of vehicles for stretches of time. Now I see that he had been spending time at the Roadside Inn. In fairness, I've never been there, but I have heard it's a gathering place for some hard-core drinkers.

ETA: My best guess is the family thought it was suspcious that he was back in the area of the Roadside Inn. He probably wasn't supposed to be drinking on top of whatever health problems he had.
