Something is fishy...In general, I think there’s a big link between Arizona, Utah and Idaho, possibly CA...family/people knowing each other, moving between AZ and Idaho.
And the deaths and divorcing and marrying soon after...

Anyone got a shot of him?
Its not him. There was a photo on previous page but hopefully its been deleted as it was false info. We think it was a court reporter. There is just no chance at all that was chad.

For future reference a great way of spotting someone in disguise is looking at the ears. They are the finger prints of the head.

I don’t agree. If Idaho’s warrants indicated they wanted to take the children into foster care that news would have been splashed everywhere. I do not believe that is the position of Idaho in the January warrant. The attorney might only be repeating what LV told him and would have plausible deniability

Foster care has never been mentioned. Not sure why some here think this is some revelation when that news would have been all over the media. I wish someone would find a copy of the January warrant and confirm,
IIRC it said it wanted to take the kids into protective custody or the state to become the guardian something like that. Difficult to say for sure as it has mostly been in secret. So it may have been said in the court, we wouldn't know. MOO.

Late to the party, but better late than never!

When I read the subpoenas last night, I noticed that the information was for Lori and Chad. Funny, he hasn't been charged. Okay, well it makes sense right? They've been joined at the hip. But August 1? Curious. They're looking for a timeline and evidence...but not just about the children.

Strictly my opinion, here...but, my suspicion is that they have something concrete waiting in Idaho. And quite possibly Arizona.

$5 million in bail seems high to me, but the Idaho judge ordered it and Hawaii (firmly!) confirmed it. Additionally, Mr Kollar's mention of Lori booking her stay here before her husband's death. Her reaction was visceral. But he said the conclusion I also came to. Not for just Lori...but also for Chad. He presumably booked before his wife's death, was what I gathered from the prosecutor's statement and the subpoenas. I believe his arrest is imminent.

They truly didn't try to hide anything...data everywhere. The arrogance is astounding! With everything we've learned of her past...she got away with so much, but the free ride finally seems to have stopped.

Last thing...in regards to phones. I suspect that it wasn't just Tylee's phone and the photo that is leading to the park. They could get GPS data from all parties to confirm that, and it is fairly accurate.[/QUOTE]

Regarding cell phone data and tracking location, it would be limited in YNP but, GPS data relies on satellites tracking location and, based on what we know so far, they were driving a late model vehicle with GPS built-in so the navigation history of the vehicle would be relevant. MOO

Oh trust me, she wanted to GTFO. Being a Caucasian in a Hawaiian jail, especially with these heinous charges, I’m not surprised that if she didn’t get the bail reduction she immediately waived extradition. Even in isolation you will get treated terribly by the guards.

Even on a good day being out in public is not always pleasant for a Caucasian here

This does not sound too good for tourists then.

I am also hoping Lori used sat nav to get them places like yellowstone. Pulling that data would be really intresting. If it matches with GPS or YNP thats intresting and if it doesn't match up thats also intresting.

The later would be more useful I think to investors. Because they can pin point areas someone didn't want the police to know about. Similarly if all the phones turned off at a point in time but gps in truck kept going or even if it didn't it would be hugely insightful.

Does anyone one else think loris reaction at 20.30 is very intresting as the prosecutor is talking.

- raises eyebrow
- looks confused
- shakes head
- looks like about to burst into tears
- composes herself

Interestingly the state had argued for remand without bail as appropriate, but in the alternative thought 5m was ok (in effect the same result)

I wonder if special considerations apply to interstate extradition.

I only want to point out a few small things, and then I'll let it drop (I'm still many many pgs back so apologies if these points have already been made). The way I read your first post, with the definitive statement "Lori experienced childhood trauma" I just assumed you were referring to a source I had missed. I think her family history would be fascinating, and illuminating.
But then when someone asked you about your knowledge of LD's childhood, the answer was "it's obvious", and then "Murderers/ sociopaths are caused by childhood trauma, it's learned" This was stated pretty emphatically by you in multiple replies, and links about mental health. [This isn't true by the way, an individual is born psychopathic, they are literally hard wired. That's my opinion, I was a Psych. major and as to sociopaths, sadly after living with my step fathers daughter who has been clinically diagnosed as a Sociopath (APD) at age 20. She had a very normal healthy childhood, and now see's a therapist every few weeks, but is still pretty toxic to anyone who tries to get close to her.]
After the back and forth with other members, you stated that we all needed to consider her mental health
[quote: "No one feels sorry for Lori. At least I do not. But if we form a one sided view of her, we are not being objective and we will miss the truth behind her motives"]
Yes, I agree, however no one else apart from you was making a definitive statement about LVD's trauma. Point being, it wasn't clear to begin with that the post was your opinion, and not fact based. People got confused and asked for sources for the very reason you're now pushing, understanding a bit more about what motivates Lori.

Anyway, I really don't have an Iron in this fire, so to speak, this is just my perception and I hope it doesn't offend you, I certainly wouldn't want that. Personally I believe both Lori and Chad are at the least sociopaths, and it's probably far more complicated than just that. Hopefully it will bring out a few sources, or inspire one of her family members to come forward with info about Lori's earlier life. With two dead siblings, I for one would love to hear more about it!

Interesting response...and, definitely, food for thought, so to speak. MOO

I think she is confused about where counsel is going with that submission - i don't really get it either

No idea about interstate extradition however i thought the judge did 5m because the defense attorney argued in the first hearing that it was against Hawaii law to have anyone on a B charge not to get the opportunity to bail. 5m gives her a chance at bail even if extremely remote.

Not posting in disagreement. But Lori has a long history on Kauai. After her move her in 2016 I think all her life events were about coming back. It is a common story that most will not understand if you don't live here. She was planning to come back to Kauai. When she booked her tickets is irrelevant. This was a long(ish) game.

It might help her defence if she had clear travel plans before the police arrived at her doorstep and could produce evidence of that.

I have taken that flight, so I can relate. Up down, up down, but the islands were quite beautiful, I remember Kosrae & Pohnpeii especially. And yes, we could not get off at Kwajelein in Marshall Islands but we could get off on Majuro. This was many years ago, and what was interesting was at the time I was working in a job with a lot of youth from Marshall Islands and Federated State of Micronesia, so I got to talk with them about it. I actually know a few Marshallese words LOL. There are many Marshallese and FSM Islanders here on Maui, and yes we do give them all the benefits of US citizens. I think that is because we nuked them and then used them as guinea pigs studying the effects of nuclear exposure, long story but part of that was Bikini Atol. Very interesting culture, and as you say very family oriented! I worked in social services with them after that, and visited families in their homes. Mostly very loving people. I didn’t know anything about their extradition laws, but they are very isolated cultures. I was told by some of the kids that there is no electricity on Kosrae for example, maybe that has changed since though as this was many years ago.

Yea, the history is interesting. Yea, the Bikini island incident is a nightmare. Recently they are really mad at the government, the dome they put all of the radiation is now leaking, reference to the article is here:

https://www.washingtonpost.com/nati...er-dome-pacific-island-now-its-cracking-open/

I've met a few Marshallese but was only there via the Island Hopper, beautiful people. Their language, for some reason, reminds me of the "Osh Kosh" brand. Probably because that is what it sounds when you hear them speak it.

I did live on 3 islands out there: Chuuk(Truk), Yap, and on Guam. All are very different with their own histories. The main islands all have electricity that I was on (for the most part), the outer islands, not so much.

The islands that make up the FSM territory (Yap, Pohnpeii, Chuuk, and Palau), are part of a military agreement, to allow us to have exclusive access to the air, land, and sea for military purposes.

I will tell you this, be very nice to the locals. One of the stories my friend told me, is that there is a certain fish they serve to rude "tourists". Apparently it tastes pretty good, but has a surprising reaction. It gives you diarrhea, you don't realize it until you feel something wet running down your leg.

For those looking to enjoy Hawaii life on a budget, Guam is a good place to retire too. Not so much for tourists though, very expensive.

I know enough that if needed I could disappear. Of course, I doubt I would ever have a need to. Of course, quality of life would drastically change. No more internet for one. :(

That's why I waited to post this, because I didn't want LVD or CD to get any ideas. Of course, they aren't exactly geniuses, they had a ton of electronic devices on them when LEO caught up to them in Hawaii.

Haven't they ever watched a fugitive show.

Step one: Get rid of anything that can be used to track you. MOO

It would be remiss of one to think let alone state that the affirmed bail amount possibly reflects more serious pending charges? MOO

It might help her defence if she had clear travel plans before the police arrived at her doorstep and could produce evidence of that.

Only if that information did not help the prosecution in relation to another crime.. ie CV death. Which is what I think Lori finally understood at her court appearance.

Look at the clip video and timestamp on a post I put up. I think that is the exact moment it hit her.

Here in Hawaii, her soft-spoken, 'I'm frightened and vulnerable' body language that we're now seeing will hold her in better stead among the women in jail than the haughty, chin-in-the-air posturing we saw when she was free and just being booked. She now looks like she's terrifiied and has been very humbled these last few days, and that's the best way she can present herself: Make the other inmates think she's subservient, mousy and scared out of her wits. The local women will be a lot less likely to start crap with her if she acts soft spoken and very respectful.

Beware the wolf in sheep’s clothing. MOO
