Stacey and Sarah Wondra are still suspects. So are Adrien Lucienne and Brandon Shurtliff, who lived with the couple at their Redwing Street house.

Huff urges them to call or text 208-343-COPS or email [email protected].

BOISE, Idaho — More than an hour’s worth of footage was posted to YouTube Tuesday and Wednesday, showing one suspect in the disappearance of Michael “Monkey” Vaughan confessing to knowing where Monkey’s body was buried.

Michael's mom, Brandi Neal, told KTVB Wednesday afternoon she and a family friend leaked the two-part video. The suspect, Stacey Wondra, guided detectives on a FaceTime call to where he said he saw his wife, Sarah Wondra, burying the body
------------------------------------------------------‐----------
Keep going out a little further… right under the mound, right to the right of the trees,” Stacey said to detectives in the video. “He should be wrapped in a garbage bag, White or black, we only have two colors.”

Neal said they accidentally got the video last spring through an unrelated public records request. She asked the friend to file the request on her behalf.

Brutal.

CBS2 is working to get a copy of the leaked video. Check back here for the video upload. Copies of the video shared online show Stacy Wondra directing police detectives to where he says he saw Sarah burying Michael's body. He directs detectives over a Facetime call in great detail to where he says he saw Sarah burying the body and that it should be in either a black or white trash bag. Michael's remains have not been recovered.

JMO but he seems like a low intelligence fantasist taking pleasure out of having power over LE and their searchers. Did they ever get any evidence that there could have been a body hidden then moved?

If it weren’t for Huff saying cadaver dogs indicated /hit in the Wondra’s backyard. I wouldn’t believe anything SW said in that video.

I didn’t listen to all of it, I’ll do that later. What I did catch, was a portion where the detective was asking about beds in different bedrooms? What was the purpose of that?

I got this impression too. Like Kegan Kline in the Delphi murders case, for those who followed that one.

  • @14:55 - Q - Do you have any other suggestions for us Stacey? - A- I mean like I said, that was where he was buried. That's the last place I had known, but I haven't been home for quite a while. The only other place I would say, if he's not in the backyard, is to go to (Keoterns-uninteliigible) or Brandon's house and check in the backyard by the tree area.
  • @15:40 - Q - How far down is Michael? A - I don't know how far down she (Sarah) dug actually.
  • @20:09 - Chris McDonough is at the Wondra's house and calls back to talk to SW. Stacey asks, where's Sarah? The officer tell him she's in custody. Wondra replies you arrested her? Officer says yes it appears they arrested her. Wondra asks where they took her. The question is never answered and the conversation moves on.
  • @21:37 Chris McDonough along with two others are now inside the Wondra home. Stacey is being asked to go through the home with them via a Facetime call. Stacey is asked whether he wants to see anything in particular. He asks what beds are in the house. They take him through the various bedrooms, Wondra says there should be a California King mattress in the master, but it's been removed and replaced. They ask which bedroom is Adrian's, they answer. They move along to the garage and are now asking about the location of the duct tape. Wondra says it was on a tall bookshelf in the garage, when they can't locate the shelf or the tape. He tells them Sarah must have gotten rid of it.
  • @26:20 Wondra is asked where the tricycle was at. He tells them it was sitting on the boxes (in the garage). Next Wondra asks how long Sarah has been in custody. Chris says he's not sure. Wondra asks if that's why she hasn't been answering his calls the past couple of nights. Chris deflects and moves back to questions on the excavation in the back yard. He states there have been three alerts from cadaver dogs, LE is trying to narrow down the scent. Wondra says he directed them to the last place he knew Michael's body was buried. He wasn't out there when Sarah was burying him, just noted the general location. He states Sarah obviously hasn't been honest with you guys, I'm trying to give you what I can. He goes on to mention their dog Oakley, a hound dog. Talks about Oakley digging in that one particular spot in the yard. Next he says the cadaver dog hits confirm what he is telling them is the truth.
  • @33:02 female officer tells Wondra, Sarah has stated the same info on the location Michael was buried, but says Wondra was the one who did it. Wondra says "Oh my God, no. I can't even mow the yard, can you see me digging a hole that big? I can barely walk". Officer responds, they believe him over Sarah. Next Wondra says if Michael isn't there, Sarah may have done something else with Michael's body when he wasn't home to try and mislead him.
  • @35:25, they tell Wondra, when the search warrant was served, Sarah didn't ask questions. She immediately told LE, "Stacey murdered Michael and buried him". Wondra says, "that is definitely not what I did, aI didn't do any of that, you're going to find out as soon as you locate him. I wanted no part in that, none". The female detective asks whether the duct tape will still be over Michael's mouth. Wondra replies, "it should be, I didn't watch them tape him off.
  • @36:10, Chris asks how long it took to dig and bury Michael. Wondra replies, "I don't know maybe a half-hour to an hour. Adrian was helping her, Brandon wasn't around that.
  • @47:54, Chris is looking and toys and says, "you mentioned Michael had a toy that night, any of these his"? Wondra never specifically states what toy it was and the conversation moves on.
  • @52:12, Chris asks, When you guys came back, why did you come back here? Wondra says, what do you mean, came back there? Chris says, yeah, like the next day, you assured us that Brandon put him in the guest room bound up, but the next day they moved him back here, why? Wondra replies, that's a great question. I couldn't tell you. Chris then asks, what vehicle did they use? Wondra says, she left me with the Lexus that day, so it would have been her (Sarahs) vehicle. Conversation turns back to the excavation.
  • @55:15, Chris says, Sarah told them Wondra buried Michael in Carson's backyard. Wonda again states the reasons he isn't capable of any physical activity.
  • The rest of the video is just more discussion about Michael's body, why they aren't finding him and how Wondra couldn't have killed and buried Michael. Wondra's parting comment is that Sarah probably dug him up and re-buried him at another location.
Notes
The video is dated 11/12/22, so this exchange of information is over two years old. In May 2022, Wondra was arrested by the Feds for a firearms violation. He was disallowed from having firearms due to a previous conviction “on or about April 4, 2019” in Montana. He sat in Federal Custody on those charges until Novermber 2024.

Not sure why or how he came to be connected to the FPD investigation in this case. But Chris McDonough (formerly of Profiling Evil), now associated with the Cold Case Foundation. Is playing a role in the released video. He and another female, who I assume is with FPD, are talking to Wondra on the phone.

@17:36 Stacey is asking if one of the officers in the room with him, if they can ask an LT or SGT to let him contact his Mom. It's the only thing he "really wants". Noting this exchange because it appears Wondra may have ulterior motives for giving information to LE. However, because there seems to be independant proof of human remains (cadaver dog hit) in the backyard of the Wondra home, IMO there is absolutely truth to what he states, but not the role he played in Michael's death.

I'm terrible at transcription, it's my best attempt to capture a few interesting points.

In a statement to Idaho News 6 on Wednesday, Michael's mother Brandi told us: "I want answers. Our family is tired of these monsters not telling the truth. Our precious son is out there. They refuse to tell us where, and people in this very community are helping them remain quiet."

I'm curious who Brandi is referring to?

Assume she means the Wondras and their associates.

Also perhaps neighbours or local people who are too afraid to speak out.

Neighbors and the local community, IMO are highly invested in solving the case. The "associates" are no longer in the "community".

The next door neighbor's yard was also excavated. "Investigators will be using ground penetrating radar on Friday to look for any anomalies in the neighbor's yard. Huff told KTVB after the press conference that the remains dogs did not alert on the yard, but they will not leave any stone unturned. The neighbors are being cooperative, he said."

Brandi's comment is very pointed, Wondra mentioned Sarah's parents (who own that home) in the interrogation video. Maybe Brandi thinks they have knowledge from their daughter which isn't being shared. Just a thought ...

Officials said the video was inadvertently made public in 2023 following a public records request to the Washington County Sheriff's Office.

"The Fruitland Police Department and the Payette County Prosecutor's Office are not responsible for the release of the footage," officials said. At this point, Fruitland PD has fully turned over the investigation to the Payette County Prosecutor's Office.

Some leads are “promising and encouraging” enough to require further action.

“We did a massive ground search just three weeks ago with dogs. The Ada County Dive Team and multiple agencies assisted us in that,” he said, but noted it hadn't turned up anything. “And I have future searches planned. Some of what slows us down is weather.”

The case is still under investigation and the Payette County Prosecutor has been working since July on putting together a prosecution team and preparing for the next steps. There are four suspects named in Michael’s disappearance — Sarah and Stacy Wondra, Adrienne Lucienne and Brandon Shurtliff.

Really sad to hear that Micheal's mother is battling a life-threatening illness. I really hope she finds her son before she passes.
