Robinson and Artavis Walker, 23, were lighting fireworks and throwing them out their car's windows the night of June 28 when a cigarette fell into the back seat and set off the remaining fireworks.
Robinson, who was in the passenger seat, escaped the flaming vehicle a few blocks before it crashed into a light pole.
Walker was unable to escape the car until after the crash. He was burned over 90 per cent of his body and died the next day.
