If Cindy Really Knew Where Caylee's Remains Were Located...?

I say no. No matter what Cindy has said or done, she loved her granddaughter and would not have left her body out there if she found out where she was.

Mac, I love you dearly :beats: but on this I'll have to disagree. I think Cindy knew that Caylee's body was out there just not exactly where. So she sent DC to search.

If Cindy had been able to discover Caylee's body, I truly believe it would have disappeared and a new lot of pavers would have been laid in the Anthony back yard. Cindy is all about handling things herself without outside interference. Caylee would have been placed close to Cindy where she would have control over the situation and Caylee's body would have never 'officially' been found.

In fact, if Cindy had made the connection before she dialed 911, I believe Caylee would never have been reported missing. A suitable cover story would have been told about 'daddy' wanting to give his daughter a better life or something like that, if anyone ever mentioned Caylee's absence. :cow:

I agree. Caylee's remains would have been easy to relocate. The car, however, would have been a big problem. How do you hide a car that smells like death? Torch it? There would be an investigation. Plus the tow yard already was aware of the smell. Yep, the car would be a big problem.... jmo

No she couldn't. CA is an "immediate" sort of person. You can pretty much see by her changes in demeanor exactly when she learned (Oct/Nov) and when DC was immediately dispatched to go find the remains. Some of us have suspected that JB has known the rough location and disposition of Cayleee for a very long time. But when word somehow got out to CA, thats when the DC circus was sent on their mission.

Now the question becomes what she would have done or ordered done if DC had in fact found the body?

BBM

There is not a doubt in my mind that she would have had somebody retrieve Caylee's remains if DC had actually found it. There is absolutely nothing she wouldn't have done to keep more evidence from coming forward that would incriminate Casey.

I believe that was the whole point of sending DC into the woods behind Hopespring...to find Caylee's body BEFORE anyone else could and report it to LE.

I do not believe GL's account that DC actually found the body. DC would have told someone. His loyalty was to Cindy.

Short, simply answer. You betcha CA could and did know from day ONE. Until Tim was brought into the search, CA had "control" over the search for Caylee. Once CA became fully aware of Tim's amazing abilities to find missing persons, she did what she has always done: deflect, deny and discount others.

Cynthia Anthony is about saving Cynthia Anthony and no one else.

Excuse me for quoting myself, but I digress somewhat.

LiveLaughLuv reminded me of Cindy's 'silent interview' where she, totally out of character, did not utter a single word. She was obviously very, very distressed.

(I embedded it, but you may have to go to youtube to watch it as last time it was embedded it was quickly disabled) [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1FpteGu0PL0"]here is the link[/ame]. It was filmed on 11/20/08 - only 5 days after GL claims DC did in fact find Caylee's body.

I still am not convinced that DC found Caylee's remains, but I must say, Cindy's change of demeanor is extremely curious considering the timing.

No, I don't think she knew and apparently no one else really thought so either since the spot never was searched inch by inch.
Your post edited for brevity.

I don't understand the logic here tx, how do these two things relate?

Yes, I believe she found out where Caylee's remains were from KC, and it was she who sent out the detectives to search that part of the woods. She lives in a state of denial so complete, that she can believe she is wearing Caylee's ashes, and simultaneously believe Caylee is alive.

wow...do you believe that CA sent the detectives or her hired Private Investigators? And why?

If you go back and read James Hoover's depo with J Morgan you will see where he says Dominic called him to his office and told him he knew where Caylee was and that she was dead and that they were going to get her. Now, when the search warrant was served on Hopespring Drive, Cindy told LE that she had sent her people there to the woods on Suburban to search. My 2+2 = Cindy knew.

To this very day Cindy is adorning her body with some little girl's ashes. And she is still claiming that Caylee is not dead. So I'm thinking that if she were told there was a sweet little body found right down the street from her she would not want anyone else to know; they might tell her it's Caylee. That would surely cause messy problems for her and her family. (Remember, it was not important to her or George that they smelled a dead body in the car until they found out from Casey that Caylee had been missing for a month. Then it became important enough to use that information to "get LE to respond quicker.")

She tries to make the world conform to her convoluted way of thinking. I can believe that she certainly could have concealed the fact that anything other people might think was Caylee's body had been found ~ forever ~ if necessary.

<Respectfully snipped for space>

George went back to work and Cindy during her cleaning found the way to Casey at Tony's apartment by way of Amy. This means when Cindy picked up Casey she knew she had smelled death in Casey's car. Did she bring this up with Casey? (Amy and Cindy speak of the smell) In Amy's interview IIRC LE asks if Cindy spoke about the smell and ask what Cindy spoke to Casey about during that time Amy was privy. Amy did not say there was any talk about the smell after they found Casey. Is that something Cindy brought up after she got Casey alone, at the house, I wonder? I do think Amy bringing up the squirrels gave Cindy something she could grab onto about the smell and that may have appeased her enough, in conjunction with finally seeing Casey and believing Casey when she said Caylee was fine and with the nanny.

But, she couldn't have let the idea of the smell go completely-just a while later after hearing Casey say she hadn't seen Caylee in a month, Cindy makes her famous 911 call about the smell of a dead body in the damn car. Some agree that was the moment Cindy made the connection, because of the emotion in her voice, that she was finally connecting up the smell and Caylee's absence. Cindy wasn't going to call 911 and tell them about the death smell until she heard about Caylee?

That is what George and Cindy did, right? They knew they had smelled human decomposition in the trunk of their daughters car, and Cindy made two calls to 911 without mentioning that fact. It was only upon learning that Casey herself had not seen Caylee in a month that the smell of death in the damn car was mentioned.

So, I wrote all of this but what does that mean? :waitasec:

...js...

Yes, Cindy knew. IIRC she told Amy that she needed to find Casey right away as Casey was in danger of being arrested - or could be in a lot of trouble? (I am paraphrasing but I believe that was the gist of what she said.) I also recall Cindy texting Casey after finding the Pontiac and saying something to the affect of calling her asap and alluding to something about 'trouble.'

ETA: 7/15 at 5 pm

Amy receives a phone call from Casey's Mom while at Florida Mall. Cindy found Amy's phone number on a piece of paper in Casey's abandoned car. Cindy asks if Amy knows where Casey is - tells her Casey is in a a lot of trouble and could go to jail. Amy does know where she is and agrees to show Cindy where the Lazaro's apt. is.. (according to Amy's statement)

I think George & Cindy knew Caylee was dead the minute they smelled the car, the 16th of July. I don't think they knew where the body was until sometime in November. ( How they knew this, I'm not sure) They sent D Casey down there to find her, but I don't believe he did. Had he found the remains, I think the A's would have taken them. I can not even imagine that scenario. I don't want to think even she was that evil, but her actions and behaviors tell us she is.

Wow, until someone mentioned it earlier today, I never caught on to CA's reaction to George saying DC's name in the silent interview. She got bad news from him IMO.

If Cindy really knew that Caylee was dead AND where she was (thrown, buried...don't know how to word this)
Could she have really let her granddaughter lie there (decompose) in the woods right down the road from their own home? Could she? Really?
Yes I believe she definately could leave her to decompose. She believes she's still alive and yet doesn't search or make any public appeals.
I think CA is twisted enough to have killed the child herself at this point.

I don't think that not one of them (C,G,L) didn't ask if she killed CAYLEE!After the fact.

Whiteangora has said it better than I ever could have. I think ICA got word to CA through JB, told her where Caylee was, but blaimed it on someone else, so CA sent DC down there to check it out.

Yes, Cindy did seem to react (as SuziQ pointed out) when DC's name was mentioned. Cindy is so uncharacteristically out of it in this video- either drugged or in shock, IMO. Telling, also, was George saying repeatedly in the video at this point in time "we're not going to stop" (looking for her.) He states they've been "saying that from day 2 or 3." Curious- why wouldn't they be saying it from day 1? :waitasec:

I completely agree that Cindy knew the evening of July 16th that the baby was dead. Then she went into profound denial and then by November and that interview, she knew there was no denying this and then she went into save ME and KC mode because I just cannot admit this. And I would not even be surprised if she said to herself - this is too hard and it did not happen - that is what I am going with - and decided that life is much easier if she believed that KC had nothing to do with it.

But she knows that KC did and I do not believe for a second that she has convinced herself otherwise - I believe she knows she is lying to herself but this works - because otherwise, I am responsible and I don't think so.
