Dismembered body found with gunshot wounds following North Lawndale fire
The body of a 68-year-old man was found dismembered and with gunshot wounds about 5:16 p.m. Friday in the basement of a residence in the 2300 block of South Kirkland Avenue in what investigators are looking into as a homicide and arson, according to a police report.

Firefighters responding to a residential fire Friday evening in North Lawndale discovered the dismembered body of a 68-year-old man, according to Chicago police, who said the fire had been intentionally set.
