CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) - Eight people were killed — including a 14-year-old boy — and at least 45 others were wounded in weekend shootings across Chicago.

Now it's 2181 shooting victims in Chicago alone from Jan 1st until today.

Where are the protests?

Apparently the number isn't great enough to draw protests. The mayor did order 300 more cops to leave their desk duties & hit the street.

This is so tragic. Chicago is spread out and certain parts of the city are pretty desolate and dangerous (likely gang turf wars/drug trafficking), and really unsafe places to raise children. Chicago occasionally is referred to as "Chiraq" aptly named at the moment because there are extremely dangerous parts of the city, almost like a war zone.
