Police: Girl, 15, reported missing from Near West Side

CHICAGO — A 15-year-old girl last seen on Chicago’s Near West Side is missing, police said Tuesday.

Amare Williams went missing Monday in the 1400 block of S. Blue Island, in the city’s Little Italy neighborhood.

Police described the girl as 5-foot-10-inches, weighing 160 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair.

Anyone with information on Amare’s whereabouts is asked to call police at (312) 744-8266 or leave an anonymous tip at cpdtip.com.

Wow. This child is 5ft10? She is going to look older than just 15. That worries me a lot.

I am hoping she is with friends or an older boyfriend, who is actually looking out for her. It is the best case scenario.

While many of the inhabitants of the area are students attending the University of Illinois at Chicago, there remains a significant number of Italian families living in the area. As the neighborhood becomes more affluent, young professionals have also begun to buy condominium space in the area."

I wonder if she lives at that address? It is near the University. I wonder if she has been hanging out with college kids?

That is a pretty safe area so hopefully she is voluntarily missing right now, and hasn't met with foul play. I hope and pray so.
