I've got the scanner on and there is a shooter in the college. They are calling for the coroner and ambulances.

It's going on right now. They have multiple victims and there are reports of shots being fired now in the library and multiple shooting sites. All officers in the area are being recalled to the university, and all traffic in and out of the university is being stopped.

There are unconfirmed reports of a gunman on the campus of Northern Illinois University. Those reports say that at least three people have been shot. Fox News Chicago will have details as they become available.

I have the scanner on. They are calling in ambulances from surrounding suburbs. It took 15 minutes for them to get additional ambulances out. Not sure why so long when they said multiple victims. I'll keep updating as I hear.

Ambulances as far as Aurora are being brought in. Shooter still not identified.

I know that the Illinois state universities have a great emergency system in place where all students are immediately emailed when any crime occurs on campus. Hopefully, the system will help save lives.
