Over the past few years, we've had an epidemic of (mostly) teenagers stealing cars, and deliberately driving erratically and crashing them. On the 19th, Monday, two young men, 16 and 18, were pulled over in Rock Island, Illinois because they were hazardously driving a stolen car. While the officers were cuffing them, the 16-year-old STOLE THE POLICE CAR and drove it across the river into adjoining Davenport, Iowa, where the car was finally stopped. A human officer had minor injuries, and the stolen car had a K9 officer aboard, who thankfully was unharmed.
The 18-year-old, identified as Tayshawn Clark, will have a laundry list of charges filed against him, and one of them will be child endangerment because he was definitely aiding and abetting his younger brother (and vice versa, if you think about it). You read this right - the thieves are brothers! This is just insane.
