Circumstances of Disappearance:
James Early was reported missing from Glen Carbon, Illinois by his father on April 29, 1995. His father, Joe Early, stated that his son was suffering from depression and that James went to work on April 6th and never returned home.

Joe's daughter, Janet Early, called him on April 9th and said that James was at her house in New York. She received a letter on April 12th that told her to pick up his car, which was parked at JFK Airport. James has never been heard from since.

On April 21st, Janet received a phone call from Budget Car Rental in Paris, France. She was informed that a car was rented on April 13th under the name James Early and was supposed to be returned the following day. It was never returned. The rental car was later found in Toulon, France, abandoned and damaged on April 25th. Few details are available regarding Early's disappearance and his whereabouts remain unknown.

I have the impression that he is somewhere with someone... if not, perhaps someone he knows acted violently towards him, I don't think a stranger...

If anyone is familiar with European John Doe’s, this gentleman might be one of them.

I haven’t had much luck in my searches. Maybe a fluent french sleuther will have better luck!
