GUILTY IL - Kimberly Mattingly, 29, Toledo, 5 April 2020 *arrest*

  • #21
It says she "was seen" on April 5 leaving with someone in a blue car. Then it says she was "last known" to be in Toledo, Hillsboro or Beecher City.

Makes no sense. If she was last seen leaving in a blue car, don't they know where she was seen? Isn't that the "last known" place she was? Anything else is just speculation. I mean, if nobody saw her, then it's speculation, right? Even if her phone pinged somewhere, there's no proof she was there.

Who is the last person to see her? Who saw the blue car? I'd be curious to know. A lot of people have these "she left in a blue car" stories, and there's often lies.

The phone was not hers. It belongs to the man who last seen her.. the same man who states a mysterious blue car picked her up. So, the last person to have seen her was indeed the man who picked her up to take her near Toledo, Beecher City and/or surrounding areas. Find out where he took her between Sunday (last call to her mom) to Wednesday (the day she was reported missing), we will most likely find her.

Let me get this straight. She called her mom on Sunday. On Wednesday, a person said that she was with him but left him to go with someone in a blue car? Did this witness live with her or did he pick her up from her residence? Are you saying that nobody but this guy saw or spoke to her after the call to her mom?

Social media was talking about Chris Glass weeks ago. He was a friend of her's on FB - https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100011253885618

My condolences to Kimberly's family and friends, I'm so sorry for your loss~
So tragic as she was so loved by her family. Glass was arrested on drug charges in 2018 and sentenced to 3 years. It looks like they let him out early with parole. Christopher E. Glass Mugshot 173360926 - Christopher E. Glass Arrest - Clay County, IL - Booked for POSSESSION OF METH< 5 GRAMS

2 county men charged in murder of Kimberly Mattingly

Court papers say Paris woman was shot, buried

Police later unearthed Mattingly’s body from a shallow grave on property owned by Kaiser’s parents near Beecher City. Kaiser lived on the land consisting of a residence, outbuildings, campers and cars and an initial search by an officer found a hand protruding from the ground, which led to the recovery of Mattingly’s remains.

Kibler also explained in court before Judge Kevin Parker that Kaiser told of the murder that occurred on April 6 near his residence. Kaiser told ISP agents of hearing a verbal argument between Glass and Mattingly and then heard gunshots. Glass then told him to get shovels and a tarp for burying Mattingly. Glass buried the body, Kaiser claimed.

An initial examination showed Mattingly suffered several gunshot wounds in the head, hip and wrist. An autopsy was scheduled on May 1.

So disturbing :(

Shot multiple times. That's overkill. Wonder what the story is behind this.

Closing arguments are set in the concealment of homicidal death trial of Aaron Kaiser. The Beecher City man is charged with assisting Christopher Glass of Mason in disposing of the body of Kimberly Mattingly after she was shot, allegedly by Glass, and of giving false information to or withholding information from authorities investigating Mattingly's death.

Glass is due to be tried for Mattingly's murder in September.

Christopher Glass, 37, was found guilty in Effingham County Circuit Court Thursday of first-degree murder, concealing her death and aggravated battery with a firearm. The verdict – delivered after the jury deliberated for an hour and a half – brought tears to Mattingly’s family.

Glass could receive a sentence of life imprisonment. He is scheduled to be sentenced Aug. 3.

Glass received 50 years on an enhanced sentence of first-degree murder with a firearm. The minimum is 45 years. He also received the minimum five years for concealment of a homicidal death to be served consecutively to the murder sentence. Judge Christopher Matoush opted not to impose the maximum sentence of natural life imprisonment that the state requested, noting the 38-year-old would already be in his upper 80s when he is released from prison if he were to receive the minimum sentence. Glass will receive credit for 474 days served.
