Police searching for elderly missing Illinois couple

David G. Cregeen and his wife, Lois T. Cregeen left their home at 11:15 am, headed to Union Savings Band in Belvidere.

The couple never made it to the bank, and they have not returned home.

David suffers from dementia.

David is male white, 5'6".
He is 150 pounds.
He has gray hair and blue eyes and wears glasses.

He was last seen wearing a blue shirt with yellow stripes and blue jeans.

His wife Louis is 5'2". She is 120 pounds and has gray hair and blue eyes. She was last seen wearing a white multi-stripe colored top and blue pants.

The couple is driving a white 2013 Dodge Charger with the Illinois license plate 522-5634

Maybe the wife doesn't drive? Seems like if she could tell he was disoriented she could have taken over the wheel or convinced him to pull over and get help. Maybe she has an medical issue as well, I suppose. Hope they are located safe and soon.

IF I have the right David Cregeen, the drive from home to the bank is ~10 minutes, on well-populated roads.

IF he was confused or disoriented, and drove past the bank, or turned the wrong way out of their street to start with, they would be into rural areas (farmland?) fast.

Oh there are so many of these older couples going missing lately.
I wonder how they know that they were heading to the bank at that time? I hope they are okay and found quickly!

oh no I hope they weren't carjacked by someone who noticed their nice car
more likely they're just lost but that could be just as catastrophic to their safety

UPDATE 9-4-2017: Police say the missing elderly couple has been located.

Officials in McHenry County located to the couple on September 1, though it is unclear exactly what time the couple was found.

Police did not provide an update on the couple's condition.
