Circumstances of Disappearance - Forys was reported missing by his daughter in May of 2004 after his daughter had not heard from him in five months or so. Some associates of Forys say that he died of a drug overdose, but his body was never recovered. There are also rumors that he was murdered, but nothing has been substantiated. He was last known to reside in the Carbondale, Illinois area.

I lived in Carbondale from 1982 to 1987. I have fond memories of school, friends, etc. Crime happens there, but when it does, it usually is drugs or gang-related. This family needs justice for Mr. Forys.

There appear to be several DUIs between 1996 and 1999 that resulted in the suspension of his drivers license.

He and his wife Fannie L were also divorced in early 1999.
