CHICAGO - Chicago police are asking for the public's help finding a 40-year-old woman who has been missing since late June.

Olha Solovei-Zmiievska is missing from the 6200 block of W. Belmont and was last seen on June 24, 2023, around 11 a.m.

According to police, Olha frequents the area of Central and Belmont and the 2900 block of N. Central. She also may have been spotted in the area of Pulaski and Fullerton, and she may frequent the area of 500-600 S. Austin Ave., which shares a border with suburban Oak Park.

Olha is described as a white woman, with brown hair and brown eyes, standing 5-foot-7 and weighing 135 pounds. She has a tattoo on her arm that says, "MAIIA."

Anyone with information is urged to contact CPD's Special Victims Unit at 312-746-6554.

Her Linkedin https://www.linkedin.com/in/olha-solovei-zmiievska-b29481222/ According to her profile, she's originally from Ukraine and worked as a teacher of Italian language at Ukrainian National Tchaikovsky Academy of Music.

When did she move to Chicago and who was she living with? Is she a refugee? Who reported her missing and when? It's been over two months, where could she be? I really hope that she's safe somewhere.

Olha's FB Log into Facebook

She was quite active until June 23, no posts since then. I don't see many (if any) posts in English, only in Ukrainian or Russian. This is concerning. What could have happened to Olha?

I live in Chicago and the linked article in this thread from Chicago Fox news is the first I've heard about this woman being missing.

Circumstances of Disappearance
Solovei-Zmiievska was last spoken to via telephone on 06/27/2023 by her room mate. She stated she was okay and would be heading home soon. Solovei-Zmiievska never returned home and has not answered the phone since.

Interesting comments on her latest post by her friends, unfortunately not something we can bring here.

Somehow i think she is no longer with us, i fear that, otherwise she would have been in contact with friends and family

Her NamUs page has been removed.

I wonder if she could be a Jane Doe that was found in Oct. '23 in River Grove, which is very close to Franklin Park according to Google.

I downloaded a file from Cook County Gov and for the Doe's case it says "40,Female,White" which would fit. Also, Jane Doe's profile was removed on Friday. Not sure if the post mortem interval would fit though, as the reminas were skeletal.
