EMS workers accused of causing Earl Moore's death will stand trial for first-degree murder

Cadigan and Finley entered not guilty pleas; pre-trial proceedings were set for Feb. 6. Each could face between 20 to 60 years in prison if convicted

On Thursday, Moore's family filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Cadigan, Finley and LifeStar. Civil rights attorney Ben Crump is representing the estate.

Sangamon County State’s Attorney Dan Wright filed a motion in Limine Tuesday that forbids certain statements from Finley, Cadigan, or their lawyers from the preliminary trial to be used in court again.

The next court appearance is set for Monday. Finley and Cadigan’s attorneys are also hoping to reduce the bond for their clients at that hearing.
