Illinois parents charged after allegedly 'encouraging' daughters to beat up classmate: 'Get her'

Two parents in Naperville, Illinois, were charged on Tuesday after allegedly encouraging their two daughters to beat up a classmate in early April.

Two parents in Illinois were charged on Tuesday after allegedly encouraging their two daughters to beat up a classmate.

Steven Teague, 36, and Terika Thomas, 30, were both charged with felony contributing to the delinquency of a minor, according to the DuPage County State's Attorney's Office.

As the victim reached the bus stop, the juvenile females allegedly attacked her and threw her to the ground while punching her.

According to the state's attorney's office, as the alleged attack was taking place, Thomas got out of the car and told the juveniles to "get her" while Teague watched.

Does anyone know how old these children are? With a 30-year-old mother, it's unlikely any of them would be older than 13 or 14, and most likely much younger.

I was hoping the article would have more context, as I know kids can be absolutely cruel, bullying (either verbally or physically) can be a huge problem that, depending on the school, is immediately dealt with properly and ended and other times ignored or not dealt with properly, which can understandably cause a great deal of daily stress for a student, and frustration for parents, but after reading the the article it seems the step-dad brought the 2 girls to the busstop, the girl there left and attempted to go to the next bus stop, step-dad drove himself & the two girls to that next bus stop as well and encouraged them to get her.

That is ridiculous. We dont even have the context to know if this girl was relentlessly bullying the other two or what the situation was, but even if that were the case, 2 vs 1 is beyond unfair. Driving them to that bus stop and then following the student to the next bus stop as well was also ridiculous.
