Rockford woman remembered as an 'outgoing people person'

“She was an all-state saxophone player at Winnebago High School,” said Dishman’s younger brother, J. K., 38, of Cherry Valley. “She loved music in her younger years. She was a really good volleyball player. She enjoyed traveling. She was a very outgoing people person.”

Dishman is survived by her six children, who range in age from 23 to 6. Her first husband, Benji Vallance, died in 2004 at age 28. Dishman and her second husband, H. D. Jr., were in the process of divorcing, according to court records.
