Police say missing woman has amnesia type condition

Winfield Police activated a missing persons report on Wednesday morning for a woman with an amnesia type condition.

Police say she suffers from seizures and an amnesia type condition. She may or may not know her name if asked. She is wearing a bracelet with her name on it.

According to police, Vendel has done this in the past and has taken a Metra train to Chicago. If you see this woman, please call 9-1-1.

Missing Winfield woman, 61, has been located

A 61-year-old woman reported missing Wednesday from west suburban Winfield has been found.

State police announced Thursday afternoon that Vendel had been located, but did not provide additional information.
