Selene Turner, 58, who has an intellectual disability, was reported missing from a residence in the 1400 block of Addleman Street in Joliet, IL on Tuesday. She last seen walking northbound from the area sometime prior to 1:20 pm when law enforcement officers responded to the call for assistance.

Turner is 5’7″, 154 lbs. and has blue eyes with blonde/red hair. She was last seen wearing a long-sleeved tan shirt with a Mickey Mouse t-shirt underneath, tan pants and gray boots. She may be wearing glasses. She is believed to be carrying a giraffe print backpack and a khaki or green parka.

Detectives learned that she may have taken a Metra train to the LaSalle station in downtown Chicago during the early evening hours on Tuesday. LaSalle Street Station is a commuter rail terminal at 414 South LaSalle Street in downtown Chicago.

It is also said that Turner may be wearing glasses and is wearing a copper-colored bracelet on her left wrist. Her right wrist is bandaged due to a recent injury, according to police.

Joliet police officers responded to the residence at 1:18 p.m. after receiving a report that she had left home earlier in the day.

The detective on the case is Joliet Police Detective Boe, contact at (815)724-3037

The FB page @truthfinder2019 found stated she was from Oklahoma so I checked there for family. I did find a Selene Turner in Oklahoma in the civil court system that is the right age, but no middle name for verification (the missing woman's middle initial is "M"). That Selene's Mom passed away in Oklahoma 10+ years ago. There was a lawsuit over the death and Selene Turner petitioned the court for a lump sum payment of a structured settlement (to the lawsuit). What is interesting, is Ms. Turner, age 47 (in 2014) with 2 "dependents" according to the attached courot records, agreed to a lump sum of only $31,029 (instead of the rougnly $150,000 to be paid in March of 2029 with her signing rights away to a Transferee who is an LLC.

The court papers said she was advised to seek council before making this decision and declined, but if she is intellectually disabled, at that time could she have coerced into signing away something she shouldn't have? I've attached the court documents, perhaps an attorney here has an opinion; I think this is typical of some structured settlements, but have no experience there at all.

Again, not 100% certain this is the missing Selene Turner, just the right name, age and former area of residence.

The missing Selene has also been known with the last name Sullivan. https://www.whitepages.com/name/Selene-Turner/OK?fs=1&searchedName=Selene%20Turner&searchedLocation=Oklahoma
Her marriage licenese to Mr. Turner was issued in 1992. Her FB shows her getting married in 1995.

Oklahoma County Court Records:
IN RE: The Marriage of SULLIVAN SELENE M and TURNER VELTY LEE

(Marriage license) Filed: 06/08/1992
SULLIVAN, SELENE M, Female Applicant
TURNER, VELTY LEE, Male Applicant
06-08-1992 MARRIAGE LICENSE APPLICATION FILED
06-26-1992 MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE RECORDED & RETURNED TO APPLNT

Her husband of 32 years passed away just last year.

I'm wondering - it's been a year since her husband died. If she has some cognitive issues now (early dementia, effects of a mild stroke, or other medical issue, etc) could she have been trying to return to Oklahoma? I hope someone will think to check trains or busses from Chicago to Oklahoma City. A long shot perhaps, but she might have been trying to return to someone her mind may not realize is gone.
