Young Athens woman, daughter reported missing

The Missing Persons Awareness Network posted on Facebook Sunday about a missing person in Athens, Illl.

According to the post, Tiana B. Mullen, 21, was last seen picking up her 14-month-old daughter, Gabby, from Washington Street in Athens from a babysitter's house.

Mullen's phone has been turned off and according to the flier, she hasn't posted on social media or had any activity in her bank account.

A 21-year-old woman and her baby who were reported missing from Menard County last week are safe, the Missing Persons Awareness Network said Monday afternoon.

On Monday, after news of the missing persons report circulated online, Mullen made contact with her family and told them she and the baby are safe, said Gia Hoffman, president and founder of the Missing Persons Awareness Network, which helped to publicize the case.
