Officials said 54-year-old Tracie Bell was last seen at her home in Richton Park nearly two weeks ago.

Bell reportedly failed to show up at the Cook County State Attorney’s office where she works—that’s when family members said they started to get worried.

It's totally out of character for her not to report to work or even call," said her cousin Ladonna Iverson.

The day prior to her disappearance however, Bell’s cousins say she had also failed to call in at work and her office asked police to conduct a wellness check.

"When they found her, she seemed a little bit disoriented, so they called the paramedics and they checked her blood sugar because she was recently diagnosed as a diabetic," Iverson said

Bell’s cousins said she was dealing with other health problems as well.

According to Richton Park Police, Bell appeared to have just “walked away.” Officials said they haven't seen any activity on her cell phone nor seen any charges on her credit cards.

Bell is 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs about 150 pounds. She was last seen wearing a dark-hooded parka and dark pants.

I looked at the historical radar for early morning when she went missing. I'm from Chicago so I'm familiar with where she lives. There were some snow squalls moving through the area. Did she head out on foot rather than dig her car out of the snow? There's a McDonalds just north of her last listed address and a library as well to the Northeast of her condo. In any event, it wasn't a good day to be outdoors and there are several parks nearby as well as a large reservoir just to the north of her condo complex. I hope those have been checked.

Details of Disappearance
Bell was last seen in Richton Park, Illinois on March 6, 2018. She lived in a condo on Pleasant Drive in Richton Park, and worked as a secretary for the Cook County State Attorney's Office at the Leighton Criminal Court Building at 26th Street and California Avenue in Chicago, Illinois.

When Bell didn't arrive at work on March 6, the police were sent to her home for a welfare check. She is normally a very dependable employee who would call her supervisor if she was going to miss late. The police found Bell at her condo. She didn't appear to be injured, but she seemed disoriented, and the police called called paramedics, who checked her blood sugar level. She cooperated with them and seemed to be okay.

Bell has never been heard from again. When she missed work on March 7, the police made a second welfare check and this time she was not at home, but her vehicle was found parked outside her condo. Only her cellular phone was missing from the residence. Since her disappearance, there hasn't been any activity on her cellular phone, credit cards or bank accounts.

Investigators have found no evidence of foul play in her case, but her cousin, who is a close friend, doesn't believe she left of her own accord. Her case remains unsolved.

Among other cases the detectives are investigating as part of the project is the disappearance of Tracie Bell, last seen on March 6, 2018. That day, police officers were called to Bell’s Richton Park condo after she didn’t show up to her work as a secretary for the Cook County state’s attorney at the Leighton Criminal Court Building.

Officers spoke to Bell, then 54, who was cooperative and appeared to be in a healthy state of mind, according to the police.

But when she didn’t report to work again the following day, police officers returned to the condo and found no one there, though her vehicle was still parked at the building.

The Cook County State Attorney’s office worker was reliable, so when Tracie failed to show up for work on March 6 of that year, those who knew her felt as if something was amiss.
According to reports, on March 5, Tracie Bell didn’t show up for work and didn’t call in, so her employer asked the authorities to do a wellness check at her Richton Park home. Tracie was reportedly located at the residence and when police spoke with her, she was described as being out of sorts. However, Tracie was reportedly cooperative and appeared “to be in a right frame of mind.”

Investigators reportedly confirmed that Tracie’s life seemed to stop in its tracks—her cellphone hasn’t been used, nor have her credit cards. Reports indicated that Tracie’s relatives suggested that things at her residence had been a bit rocky ever since Tracie’s daughter and the daughter’s husband moved in. It is unclear why the couple relocated to Tracie’s home, but her relatives seemed concerned for her well-being.
Police reportedly noted that there was “no evidence of foul play back in 2018, but since that time, some outlets have listed her case as “endangered missing.”
At the time of her disappearance, Tracie Bell stood 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighed 150 to 200 pounds. She had black/dark brown hair and brown eyes. She was known to regularly wear a set of stackable rings described by the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System as being “genuine sterling silver with semiprecious stones and could be worn separately. When not worn, would be kept on her person in her purse.
