#MissingPerson: The Decatur, AL Police Department requests the public’s assistance locating a missing person.

Ann Theresa Kipp, 62, was reported missing to the Decatur Police Department by family on November 3, 2024. Kipp is described as being 5’8” tall, about 350 lbs., with strawberry blonde hair and blue eyes.

Kipp is a sub contracted driver for RXO and makes deliveries nationwide. While she does not physically live in Decatur, AL, it was determined she has a Decatur, AL mailing address. The following are details in reference to the investigation:

⚫
On October 10, 2024, Kipp made a delivery in Corinth, Mississippi.
⚫
On October 16, 2024, Kipp called her employer and requested days off due to not feeling well. Her employer advised she was in Louisville, Kentucky at the time.
⚫
On October 20, 2024, Kipp’s employer attempted to contact her, but contact could not be made. Her employer advised she was in Scottsburg, Indiana at the time.

Kipp drives a blue 2018 Ford Transit, similar to the one pictured. The van has an RXO decal in white lettering on both the driver and passenger doors. The vehicle’s license plate is Michigan Tag# 8QD B91.

If anyone has information to help locate Kipp or the vehicle, please contact Detective Ferizovic at 256-341-4614 or email him at [email protected].

Where is Ann's vehicle? Is there no GPS system installed in it? Where could Ann be and how often does she contact her family?

How did the employer know she was in these locations? GPS?

At age 62 and 350 pounds her "not feeling well" worries me, she may have suffered a cerebral or cardiac event and is incapacitated. I think if they find the vehicle they will find her, and hopefully soon.

This article states that on the 20th her employer was "advised" that she was in Scottsburg.

This article states she was last seen in Scottsburg on the 20th. Who is the last person to see her and is it the same person who advised her employer she was in Scottsburg?

There’s a FB profile with the name Ann Kipp, that could be her if she had dyed her hair blond at the time of the photo.
If it's the same one I saw, she posted she was engaged back in 2023.

Her disappearance is concerning. Not a lot of comments on social media. I'm surprised the vehicle is still missing and didn't have tracking (unless it was her personal vehicle).
I wonder why the delay on reporting her missing? Perhaps her employer reached out to family well after the 20th when they still had not actually spoken with her and that's when a missing person's report was filed. MOO.

I hope this lady is ok. According to the namus her last known location was determined by her cell phone. Sounds like maybe the vehicle doesn’t have GPS.
I live 30 minutes from Scottsburg. It’s a really small town. It’s also very rural with a lot of farm land as well as wooded areas. Just a few weeks ago they found human remains just outside there in the woods that were female. It is assumed it is a missing girl from the area named Amanda Martin, but they haven’t confirmed anything yet. Scottsburg is also really close to Clarksville and Jeffersonville where they have extremely high crime rate’s. Scott county borders Clark county where they filmed the first 2 seasons of the A&E show 60 days in.

I wouldn’t call Scottsburg a suburb of any city, though as stated, it’s not far from Louisville. Louisville suburbs end around Sellersburg, IN. It’s a typical small Indiana town (pop. less than 7k). Probably best described as the county seat surrounded by a community of mainly farmers. Not what I would remotely consider urban by any means. Not a hotbed of crime though I’m sure the typical drug & theft issues are present as in most towns or cities. Murders and/or kidnappings would most likely not be common given the mostly rural population of Scott County, though it probably has happened on occasion over the years. Well known area for deer hunting & not far from a popular lake for fishing & recreation.

ETA The I-65 corridor is heavily travelled (tons of semi traffic) & through the years has had its share of bodies found along the way in small towns near exits from Louisville to Indy to Chicago. Major drug trafficking route going up to Chicago. Scottsburg is less than a 5 hour drive from Decatur, AL FWIW.

Comments give insight on the owner of the van if accurate. IMO
A family member has multiple comments that there was no GPS on the vehicle. She owned it herself and therefore was not required to have it.

Update:
Officials say 62-year-old Ann Theresa Kipp was found deceased in her vehicle in Indianapolis on Thursday.

The preliminary investigation suggests that there is no foul play at this time.
