IN IN - Ann Louise Harmeier, 20, Bloomington, 12 Sept 1977

Here's a twitter page for her case

This investigation has been a bit frustrating as the Indiana SP doesn't appear to be investigating any DNA connected with Ann's murder.

It sounds like the last time anyone investigated any evidence related to the case was in 2007, per the article above, when they looked at a palm print found on Ann's abandoned car.

Commentary article by her cousin, who is trying to spur more investigation into her murder. Ann was an only child whose father passed away when she was very young. Her mother passed away a few years after Ann's murder, so there aren't many other relatives left to help pursue the investigation.

This case needs more exposure! If there’s DNA, hopefully they can find a suspect.

“People send me links to stories all the time involving cold cases that get solved after long periods of time,” Scott Burnham told Dateline. “And I think that there’s hope that her murder will be solved.”
This year marks the 46th anniversary of the murder of Scott’s second cousin, 20-year-old Ann Harmeier.''

In the fall of 1977, Ann headed back to college at Indiana University in Bloomington. “She was an incoming junior,” Scott said. “Both of her parents attended IU and her father went to law school there, so there was some familiarity there,” Scott said. “She had grown up going to campus and going to see games.”

Ann was a born entertainer, her talent no doubt inherited from her mother. “She was a theater major,” Scott said. “She went to Indiana [University] and spent time in a larger environment, in a bigger community with a thriving arts scene. She really blossomed.”

Wouldn't it be great if a group of billionaires could donate money to police departments so they could solve these cold cases with DNA testing. Perhaps its a budget issue with some of these LE agencies. JMO
