Twenty-eight-year-old Austin Wolfe walked away from his Brookston home about 6 a.m. Nov. 30, and his family hasn't seen him since.
Police are looking for Wolfe, who might be wearing a navy blue West Virginia sweatshirt, Brookston Police Officer Mark Thomas said.
While police are looking for Wolfe, they also are attempting to find out why he walked away from his family and his life, Thomas said.
A Facebook post indicates that Wolfe likely was traveling by foot initially. His phone was pinged about 1 p.m. Nov. 30 indicating the phone was southwest of Brookston on White County Road 1050 South near Rosebud Ranch.
Thomas confirmed the ping, but noted he is not sure how accurate the locator is.
Wolfe has short black hair, weighs about 140 pounds and has brown eyes, Thomas noted in a news release.
He might be a danger to himself or others, Thomas said.
